Confusing indeed. How many hours did the lawyers spend looking for loopholes to make this pass one way or another. Better yet, how much of your taxpayer dollars were spent on said lawyers. This really stinks.

I cant even believe this crap. How can they freaking force us to buy something? Ill take the fine, itll be cheaper than the insurance premiums.

The only silver lining in this is it doesnt fully go into effect until 2014 - It will be repealed by then.. I am going to predict a major turnover in Congress with people running and being voted in on repealing this.

This is how freedom ends, with thunderous applause.

making people think they are fighting for our freedom
when it is the complete opposite

How did we let that happen ?

I think most of us have known for a long time that we're not a true democracy but this morning the veil was lifted completely.

Didnt Kagan help write or advise on this before she was a Justice? If so, how can she vote on it?

You know what the craziest thing about this mandate is people don't understand that the HC law won't change a DAMN thing for people who already have health care insurance (except it will go down in price) for those few (unemployed, procrastinators, those who just don't give a s#!t about their health or THOSE WHO CAN'T AFFORD IT) !
Where does the savings come from?the $39 million the Health Care CEOs each & everyone of them take home every year.
Why don't you have health insurance?

That ruling also puts health insurance out of business, unless they do some weird public-private partnership. I don't think the insurance companies are going to be very happy about this.

Obama just screwed them big time.

You're looking at this the wrong way. Through partisan glasses.

No republican is going to save you from evil Barry's healthcare.
They all love the idea of Americans being forced to give private companies their money.
Every politician in Washington exists for corporate well being. We are screwed.

Amy Howe From Scotusblog just now...

Amy Howe:
In Plain English:

The Affordable Care Act, including its individual mandate that virtually all Americans buy health insurance, is constitutional.

There were not five votes to uphold it on the ground that Congress could use its power to regulate commerce between the states to require everyone to buy health insurance.

However, five Justices agreed that the penalty that someone must pay if he refuses to buy insurance is a kind of tax that Congress can impose using its taxing power.

That is all that matters. Because the mandate survives, the Court did not need to decide what other parts of the statute were constitutional, except for a provision that required states to comply with new eligibility requirements for Medicaid or risk losing their funding.

On that question, the Court held that the provision is constitutional as long as states would only lose new funds if they didn't comply with the new requirements, rather than all of their funding.

Oh, it will change... now you will be taxed enough to pay for insurance, plus the huge bureaucracy behind it.

All in a time of recession. This will not end well...

"When a court confronts an unconstitutional statue its endeavor must be to to conserve, not destroy the legislation," Roberts wrote.

That's pretty damn messed up right there. He's saying if the Constitution and some piece of legislation were on a sinking boat the priority is to save the legislation and let the Constitution drown.

This bill puts private companies out of business and moves everyone to government health care.

As for blinders / partisan not even close... The Government should not be able to tell a person what they have to buy.

Well folks, I guess it's time for revolution. It's apparent that not only our leaders, but our highest court has no regard for the Constitution. We have just now been ushered into the realm of socialism, and will be joining Europe in being the next bankrupt country.

I say hang all the bastards in DC!

Classic way for the Feds to make states do what they want. Do this or we take away funding! It's strong arm coercion, nothing more.

I do not know how it is written as of now as they keep changing it but the small businesses owners all around town are telling me that it could put them out of businesses. I have been told that I could lose my job if it went thought as it was first written. At one time it was written as if you did not have enough heath care to met what they though you should have then you were to be fined $1000 and it was to be put on your income tax so if you did not pay it you would go to jail for not paying your taxes. I liv I do not know if that is still the case or not as it seems to keep changing. I think we are all in deep poo if you ask me. I live from pay check to paycheck so I may have to change my screen name to Prisoner#159753698
