Obama care is a repuclian idea and yet no republican voted for it so then the ruling is a "win" for the GOP and not Obama then why is it not named GOPCARE?

Which means all the Democrats do is plagerized Republican laws and no iI didn't the left has been running around on this site for 3 years saying it was Romney care.
edit on 28-6-2012 by neo96 because: (no reason given)

The individual mandate was a compromise Obama made...he dropped the Public Option and compromised with a Republican idea...The Individual Mandate.

No Republicans voted for the healthcare bill because they are obstructionist and haven't voted for anything Obama supports.

If this doesn't spark a revolution nothing will.

This ruling made me turn into the Hulk.

While everyone bickers about which party is right, the main losers are the people who just lost another freedom. I don't care how you try and spin it, whether you think it's good or bad, you have lost the right to choose for yourself.

Also I am confused, how is a Republican the originator of a welfare system?

Does that mean that so called Republicans are just closet-liberals or what?

I'm still really confused because from what I can tell, if a Republican did actually invent Obamacare legislation, than it's pretty obvious that there isn't any difference at all between Republican ideals and Democrat ideals.

Hell I suppose most Republicans will be voting for Obama this election too? Why not!

Nah, you assume they have the ability to enforce things.

But in reality the government is getting bogged down in it's own paperwork as we speak.

They are so backed up already, they would have to hire everyone just to catch up.

Ever been to a government office building ?

For 3 years the left has ran around on this site saying Obama care was Romney care same thing the did with the federal reserve act and a few others.

Now why would they have not taken credit for day one instead of saying "well it was someone else's idea:".

I do not accept Obama care or Romney care, and what is sad is people trying just justify the unconstiutionl ruling of buying a corporate product.

Fascist the merger of government and corporations and of course Obama ran on OBama care and stated that it was not going to be a tax.

Not one single Republican voted for Obama care.

Not one so why didn't they vote for it if it was there "idea" ?

There is documented proof that it was originally a Republican idea.

Not sure why you are denying it.

Here...I even used Fox News as a source for you.

www.foxnews.com...

Ok? So why don't they support it?

Is this how the two party system controls everyone's mind?

The GOP feigns fake outrage, hoping to compel everyone to do the opposite and vote their legislation in?

That is quite the devious master plan.

Exactly. The GOP oppose "ObamaCare" because they know it makes a great talking point for their base, who will believe it is 'socialism'. The REALITY is, what is called "ObamaCare' is largely based on the GOP's answer to "HillaryCare" in the 90's. That's where Obama got most of the legislation from, directly from the GOP's 'free market alternative' to "HillaryCare".

Just a bit of research can go a long way.

Do not underestimate them. While usually inept and totally unprepared for most things, once in a while they will surprise you.

Then it was not their idea after all the GOP are "obstructionists".

Silly me what was i thiiking of course Obama and the left will get the credit .
edit on 28-6-2012 by neo96 because: (no reason given)

Sure...if he wants to take the credit...it is his template.

I have no problem with that.

Do you think he will take credit for his own ideas???

Want to point out in Romney care where it says a kid stays on their mommy and daddies insurance until age 26?

Sure...it is right in the law that Romney passed...in fact...Romney's plan goes further and allows them to be on their parents coverage for 2 years after the are no longer claimed as a dependent. So they can be married...and on their parents insurance.

www.thedailybeast.com...

Young Adults

Both plans let children stay on their parents’ plan until they’re 26 years old. The only difference is that in Massachusetts children can stay on their parents’ plan for two years after they’re no longer claimed as a dependent or until they turn 26, whichever comes sooner.

Soooooooooo....what's your point???

The old bait and switch tactic.....It worked. He claimed over and over that this was not a tax, but even his lawyers argued that it was a tax when they stood before the court. He lied yet again. He is one shifty character.

He knows Americans are fed up with taxes....taxes for this and taxes for that! Most Americans that are hard-working and industrious pay plenty of taxes already....Federal, State, County, City, School, Property, Sales, etc. taxes, yet we see our tax dollars going more and more toward programs that do nothing but create a dependent segment of people that are nothing more than a voting bloc for a political party.

The 'left' has stated that the health care legislation was based on "RomneyCare" because it shows the sheer and utter hypocrisy of the current GOP presidential candidate complaining about "ObamaCare".

Will this pave the way for us losing the right to refuse flu shots or any of the other dangerous vaccines they come up with? There is much more about this thing than just the "tax" issue, as I'm sure you ATS'ers are aware. There is now a vaccine for obesity, a vaccine for smoking, and on and on. Will be be forced to take these against our will under this new "plan"?

Single tax? If only....

Taxation in the US - wiki

US Tax Code on-line

edit on 28-6-2012 by LadySkadi because: (no reason given)

Holy crap. Over here we pay "X" amount tax of our income depending on how much we earn, but the system is: The more you earn - The MORE you pay in tax, with a upper limit. It´s then up to the government to spend this hard earned cash appropriately. And therefore the voters will vote for the party they find most appealing. Therefore healtcare, wellfare, etc is payed for by all - gaining everybody. This way is probably impossible in the US though.. And i just can not understand why you only have two major parties and vote for on guy within these parties instead of the whole party...blaming/cheering one guy at the top for doing an impossible job is insane.

And that isn't what the other person said...is it??? They claimed individuals will pay 2k per family member...not that a business will pay 2k per employee.

So, why didn't you correct them instead of asking for their proof?

Could it be that you didn't have the answer or know either? I think so!

Yes..I admit I don't have the entire bill memorized...sue me

I did know their information was incorrect...I'm kind of focused on this discussion right now and not wasting time looking up other peoples sources. So I asked them to prove it.

Thankfully...you proved them wrong for me...thanks.

I agree we need to stop with the Partisan bickering. If the TPTB exist, this is EXACTLY what they want us to do. Sit here and debate partisan politics and remain divided while they strip more and more of our liberties and individual rights away.

Can't you guys see this?

This is a mediocre solution to a serious problem, but it is better than no solution and letting the Healthcare Criminal Cartel continue to rape our country, which is what the Republicans want.

The healthcrime industry has been jacking up their astronomical rates around 10% a year which is completely unsustainable, so something had to be done.

The GOP brought this upon themselves by ignoring the problem.

Now you may come to understand why Obamacare is NOT national/universal healthcare in the same way that may be true for other countries (ie: Canada, UK, etc.) it isn't comparable situation.
