People are so caught up in the rat race, they dont see the irreversible effects they're making, the impact they have on the environment, other living creatures, water, air you name it.. is consumerism, greed, pride really worth the long and even short term destruction we're causing. Id like to take a moment to compare humans to cancer.. that spreads uncontrollably in the name of self, due to the fact that everyone is trying to improve "me" and by indirect means destroys the earth with each passing generation who thinks and does the same as the last. Do we really think that cutting down a forest is just bad for the trees, or that it doestn impact the "chain" of things that are interdependent, after all I think that life is like a gradient, and not just separate things like air, water, trees humans, it doesnt end with those things ... anyways that being said Id like to quote someone:

"Understanding unity helps to solve humanity's biggest challenges. There is no such thing as an isolated problem. By injuring any part of the world's system, you injure yourself. There is no such thing as a win/lose situation.
Think of life on this planet in terms of systems and not detached elements. Broaden your field of vision and assimilate the knowledge you have. See that the environment does not belong to any single country to exploit and then disregard.
You cannot afford to think of your relationship with the earth as a one-night stand. There's no such thing as a free glass of milk. It's time to buy the cow."

What are your thoughts?
