Law student educates cop on citizen rights (video)

I thought this was an interesting video.

Someone legally carrying a gun is stopped by the cops, and the person outlines to the cops how they have no right to stop, question, ID or detain him.

I think this kind of thing could be a public safety issue, but all the cops have to do is drive by and check the situation out - if there is suspicious/dangerous behavior proceed accordingly, but if a citizen is just exercising their rights then the cops should move on.

I think it is essential in today's current evironment people be aware of their rights - and the responsibilities that go along with those rights as well.

I must say, very smoothly handled. It's interesting how the first officer seemed to be under the impression that his supervisor would take his side. I'm glad that the supervisor, at least, understood what was being said to him.
