American Muslims Stone Christians in Dearborn, MI

True the constitution is correct. True that if 1 side showed restraint, the problem generally subsides. However what were they protesting against is the most important question? The Race, Religion, the business that they own, the cars they drive, the real estate properties they own? I mean insecurity of all forms are never a good thing. So the muslims are becoming a majority in Dearborn. What can be done about it? Stop them from coming to the US or control their population? What? However if the christian group was opposing the 'SHARIA' law then they are valid by all means.

From what I have read and heard about Dearborn, this happens every year (for the past few years that I know from googling) and that law suits and complaints have been filed on both sides.

"Stoning" is a specific punishment for specific misdeeds, and it is common in both Muslim and Christian faiths, although we here about it a lot more lately in the Muslim cultures, but it is still practiced in Christianity as well, just in less sophisticated and organized areas of the world without press coverage.

BUT, the OP was not "stoning." It was youths throwing rocks and bottles. This is not specific to any religion or culture. This is just using whatever is at hand. Philadelphia fans often throw beercans at opposing players. I think Lebron James was hit with something in OKC last week, and when I was a kid some friends of mine got in trouble for throwing rocks at passing cars.

Throwing rocks is not equivalent to "stoning," that was just a sensationalist headline because it grabbed attention and set the tone for the religious debate.

I see the "United West" Org crashing a Muslim festival and a selective video by them.

"United West" is not a "Christian org" they are to Muslims what White Supremists are to African Americans and are only as "Christian" as white supremists claim to be.

"United West" is designated by the Southern Poverty Law Center as a HATE GROUP.

This thread is extremely frightening. Both sides are wrong here. BOTH. The reaction is wrong, and illegal. PERIOD. But to incite this and call yourself Christian, when as a Christian, Christ's example should be your mainstay, is horrible. It sickens me completely.

This is not even normal people, to me I sense agenda, and something staged here.

However, the posts on here, shocked me.

By the way, bullhorns to me are a part of peacefully protesting. We all need them to do general strikes and serve and protect freedoms, democracies and also stand up for the poor and excluded. Violence is a weapon not loud words. We need loud words.

But not in religious squabbles. Period. They should have been escorted out.

Exactly. I think the title of this thread is a little misleading when it says "stone" ....... should have just said, "American Muslims throw garbage and rocks at instigators."

The youth in any culture are always the most energetic and passionate, partially because they don't understand everything in the world and they don't yet care about consequences.

It was mostly teenagers and young adults in the video throwing objects.....we should atleast take note that it wasn't all Muslim adults.

IMO, the Christians were acting just like the kids. Both groups are in the wrong.

I grew up with 4 older brothers, and I got pretty good at antagonizing them so bad that they would want to punch me. I knew they would want to punch me and that's why I did it.

To me, that's what the Christians were doing.... seeing how bad they could antagonize them before resulting in violence.

I read most of your statements and I fully agree with you.

But I have questions to both sides of the argument, I´ll try to balance it.

-Why does someone, following the rules of jesus, wants to start a fight? (2:00 or so)
-Why does the muslim crowd has eggs with them (ok, maybe because of last year)
-Jesus said love your next, why do those that are so proud about their religion deliberatly HATE other religions,
when said that, before god, everyone is equal.
-Why do they have to intervene their festival (the brave christians) with megaphones?

sorry, there were more arguments against the christians then against the muslims.

BTW, I´m catholic christian. I do not go to church. NEVER. Because, in religion class, when I was young, I read a bible verse that said something along the line
"do not pray in the open or in public for your ego. He who does it in his silent chamber, praying to me for the sake of his soul, whenever he wants does good. Life the way of god."
This was the moment when I stood up in religion, told this my religion teacher, who even agreed with me! I asked, so what is the bible for then if this sentence tells all. He said, its for those who need the faith and a guide. They, who have found their own way to talk with god are fine.

And that´s the point. We don´t need scriptures where they tell us how to live the sunday and what to do or not.
One rule. LOVE EACH OTHER EQUALLY. No need for a church house to spout hypnotic prayers into the air.
If you want to talk to god, you do not need a pastor or whatever.

If everyone that believes in a God would do it that way, we would be just fine.

I live in the metro Detroit Area. I would have heard a lot about this in the newspapers, radio and TV. There wasn't anything about it.

Quite the hate filled thread here. Most people around here (Metro Detroit), which has one of the highest Arab/ Muslim populations in the U.S. get along just fine. Remember most of the people who immigrate to the U.S. are glad to be here.

I do not find this as peaceful demonstration in anyway, the signs alone are not peaceful and whatever they chant is equal or worst than the signs. This is why in my first post I said (even being of the Christian faith, I wanted to also throw crap at them too just watching it)

I hope there comes a day when muslims and christians get stoned together on some premium bud.

I did. Shame...according to the video...( a TON of facts missing)...DISINFORMATION at its best.

It took the POLICE ZERO minutes to get there. We and they were already there, on duty, on site with a command center established the night before. (Nearly 20 officers or more on duty. Uniform and plainclothes)

I didnt have to watch anymore of that nonsense video. I work for Dearborn in an ambulance and I was there. And again, our logs are clear.
