ain't got time to watch the whole video, but saw enough to see the signs, see the cop tell them the loudspeaker was a no no, and see the bible in the guys hands.
when you go looking for trouble, chances are good, you are gonna find trouble!! what prompted these guys to invade a muslim festivals, either to harass them, or convert them anyways??

and well, "the police wouldn't protect them"...
well, why aren't they looking to their god for protection? maybe deep down inside they knew that their god wouldn't approve???

here's hoping the water bearer comes soon, carrying his water, so we can all go into his house!
we need some healing on this planet, the pisces age has been the pits!!!

Thread title should have read "Christian fundamentalist try to disrupt muslim gathering, get what they deserved".

If muslims tried to disrupt a christian gathering, shouting slogans offensive to christians.... the christians wont be standing there and "turning the other cheek".

Maybe because of the American government’s foreign policies? I dont know... didnt realise so many people did judge Americans... maybe their government, but not the American people!

I may not like the American government’s foreign policy.

But i would never judge "Americans"

You will find few nations that are as diverse as America. Not just racially, but opinions, religious beliefs and ideologies too. To judge Americans is as ridiculous as judging anyone. Almost every American i have ever met (with the exception of a tiny minority) has been absolutely lovely.

Peace

Those in ancient Rome were tolerant of their many "gods", and would have been happy to have added statues of Jesus to their pantheon. See, they viewed themselves as "tolerant".

Yet it was the "tolerant" ones that threw the "intolerant" Christians to the lions because of their desire for sexual orgies, the worship of multiple gods and a hedonistic society. All roads lead to Rome, and as the similarities to today's world are so strong, the "tolerant" ones cannot even see that they will be the ones to kill, torture and ridicule those they disagree with. Hypocrites.

And non-believers cannot see how they've been bred and indoctrinated to be the army that is amassed to fight the Lord of Lords and King of Kings upon His Second Coming. They are doing it now by following Satan's desires. All he does is lead you by sex, lusts and sin and people do his bidding - welcoming all of his satanic religions which espouse and praise death whilst deriding Christ for preaching truth and life and good.

Truly, the Roman beast has risen and placed his mark firmly in the minds and actions of most. The last few years are ticking away to the end of the age. Tolerance of evil as "good" is just exponentially rising faster and faster.

Muslims are part of us here and now,yes some are prejudiced but that is all over and no surprise. I speak for the people who are decent and I demand they be defended.Sticking a pentagram in a Baptist church will earn the person doing it a one way trip to the emergency room and we all know it.
That act IS NO DIFFERENT and we all know that as well.
PRAISE JESUS you idiots who did that.

Most sensible and truthful reply I've seen yet.

You guys talking about using restraint and respecting freedom of speech; I do understand the logic, but I would be willing to bet had that been your wedding, your kid's wedding, your Christian church, or a Christian festival asses would have been kicked. Some of you aren't being honest and you know it.

Muhammad himself responded violently to criticism of Islam, if the first biography written by a Muslim, Ibn Ishaq, in 768 AD is to be believed, so it isn't so surprising that this crowd of Muslims react with such aggression.

• Muhammad authorised the murder of a number of poets (male & female) who had mocked him. One poet was a mother sleeping with her young children. The Muslim assassin had to move the child aside before thrusting his dagger into her chest. Another victim was a male poet who was, according to Muslim sources, over 100 years old. Mohammed then absolved the Islamic murderers of any wrong doing.

• He was also an accomplished caravan raider who had the propensity to execute prisoners who had been political opponents in the past. One such man had fallen foul of Muhammad when Muhammad was in his early days due to being a better story teller than Muhammad,. "Who will look after my young daughter?" cried the man, moments before he was executed. Muhammad then cursed him.

The Life of Muhammad (768 AD) by Ibn Ishaq

Muhammad allowed his followers to assassinate people who criticised him and then absolved the killers of any wrong doing. He also personally ordered the execution of people who had criticised him in the past.

Would you like me to finish your post for you Ollcasino, because it would appear you had a technical fault or something and couldn't complete the train of thought in your post before crashing... allow me:

"But of course the Christians and Catholics don't escape similar criticism and get to sneak away as though their hymens have all been re-grafted and they're innocent to such acts of brutality in the name of God and Jesus Christ in their histories either.

The Crusades, The Inquisitions, The Witch-Hunts and such like.... all acts of unimaginable brutality and violence, often against innocent men and women (and their children too let's not forget) who's only crime was to not blindly follow the faith and indoctrination set forth by the church and those who commanded the power from within."

Was that where you were going with your post Ollncasino? I certainly hope so in the name of fair and balanced commentary and input.

If not, then you're as much of a ill-informed, small minded, intellectually retarted, hate-mungering bigot that represents everything the rest of the world detest about Americas inability to tolerate those who happen to have a different 'Imaginary Friend' than they do.

It's pathetic.

So that's a bit disturbing to watch. Not welcome in Dearborn huh? I didn't know Muslims owned that town. I guess that shows that any youth can be a complete moron.

Yeah they can and do have freedom of religion but all Americans have the right to disagree with that religion.

I can't believe they didn't retaliate.

Free speech zones are asinine.

Dearborn is a predominately Muslim city in Detroit. My fiancee and I would visit his mom there and I hate to say it but their behavior toward us was anything but friendly. We got ignored at restaurants, dry cleaners would conveniently lose our clothes and refuse to refund money (and were angry at us, huh...) Not all Muslims were like that but encountered quite a few. This was several years ago, though, so that may have changed.

That being said, these people were holding a Muslim festival and, although Christians have the right to attend, it was wrong to come in and aggressively bait them. Just leave them alone and let them have some fun for once. I imagine they get heckled wherever they go and Dearborn is a safe haven for them.

That is completely untrue. The Romans targeted Christians because they didn't want the spread of a religion that taught peace and non violence throughout an Empire that relied on military might and strong borders. The earliest persecutions of Christians followed uprisings against Rome in which Christians were heavily implicated as aiding those rebelling.

Also, and more importantly, in a society with multiple gods they saw a religion that was preaching only one true god as a threat to societal order.

If a Christian group was crashing a Muslim festival, they obviously had some point of contention and expected backlash. They also seemed to expect the police to protect them. Why?

Natural consequences, if I throw trash in your yard, you have every right to kick it back in mine, and if it escalates and you kick my ass..... fine. That is what happens to people when they pick fights, eventually they get their ass kicked.

Good for the Muslims.

The Muslims are a bunch of racist animals and this is America , quite frankly I am usually peaceful but I think the Christians should rise up , then do as you suggested throw the trash ( Muslims ) out of our country . Let them go back and suck sand in the god forsaken lands YHWH gave them for their hateful blasphemous religion .

I believe that there are plenty of Christians who interpret the bible literally. My grandparents became so literal that my grandfather flipped over a table at his church when he saw them conducting some kind of business. He then refused to attend church anymore, instead having services in his home privately (they did their own communion, too).

THe Amish won't even partake in a life that isn't a parallel for first century technology.

Yes, I am aware that ALL fundamentalists will interpret their books literally. Someone once told me that the militants were basically just middle eastern rednecks. He then pointed out how similar they were. In the south we have very similar people: nationalistic, gun toting, hyper religious and very outspoken about the superiority of their beliefs. If your average West Texas redneck spoke Farsi you might think that he was Iranian.

Its not the religion that is the problem. It is the narrow minded individuals who freely give up their own control of their faculties, relying more on the words of an old book than on common sense.

Sound logic. Lets just assault people, threaten them, destroy their property and break the law any time they don't agree with us.

And when we disagree with them we use Predator Drones to bomb their neighborhoods, ostensibly looking for terrorist by swatting flies with a sledgehammer.

Is there a moral highground being claimed here?

No that's what the gov does when it disagrees with them, when we were to do something it would be more like Cronulla where we get pissed call them out for a fair fight, then rampage and take back the streets, while they hide inside till after dark when everyone has passed out so they can come out acting tough and destroy public property loot and burn stuff.

If we disagree with them and take their stance they would not be here or in the US, lucky for them we are more tolerant.

I remember the Iraq Shock and Awe campaign. Every time an explosion went off in the middle of that crowded city, you know that innocent people were being killed. And with each explosion Americans were pulled further and further into the digital pornorgraphic violence that war coverage has become.

At the water cooler the next morning all across America, there were discussions and nods of approval over the superior display of technology that we had shown the world. National pride ran amock, on the heels of a traumatic event (9/11). We were swung manically back from the depressing low by being provided this wonderful fireworks show that was raining misery on our enemies.

I remember seeing the sea of teenagers and college students, singing drukenly to the song "Give me a chance":

All we are say-ing
is kick Husseins ass

So I don't think that we can blame "the government" for the violence it carries out using our money and in our name. We not only gave consent with our silence, we watched it like it was a sitcom.

thanks for the contribution and i agree with your commentary.
i don't find the ability to "judge" anyone was bestowed upon me or any other human for that matter.

it never fails to amaze me though, just how many ppl from all over, spare no hesitation in judging and proudly condemning Americans (not the govt) for some personal dilemma.

heck, i don't like my govts' foreign policy and i'm not too fond of their domestic policies either, however, i certainly don't judge or blame my fellow countrymen for gvt inequities.

thanks for your kind words, not all of us Americans "hate" as we're often accused.
and i sure wish i could say this ...

Almost every American i have ever met (with the exception of a tiny minority) has been absolutely lovely

sad to say, that truth ceased for me many moons ago.

I have no qualms about it , they are deluded by Satan and given the chance they will kill every man woman and child that does not convert to Islam . They have been slaughtering Christians like they are going out of style all over Afrika and the middle east and it will get worse since the Muslim Brotherhood is taking over everywhere.

Make no mistake it is a war of good against evil and it will come to America , then these little pansies in the video will be throwing home made gas bombs and the likes at all non Muslims . I have read the Koran and the bible , I know the end game and what's what and Islam is just a tool of evil aka Satan.

And even if it is true that 4000 British Muslims have joined, thats still a small proportion of the overall population.

How many British Christians joined the IRA?

You cant judge the many for the actions of the few.

Perhaps a better question would be what do we do to integrate young British Muslim males to prevent 4,000 of them from wanting to join the Taliban?

By the way, Sinn Fein's never gained more than 15.5% the vote in elections during the troubles. In fact the level of support was usually only about 5% Link. Yet the IRA caused a lot of trouble.

Have you visited the MI5 website?

There is a lot of terrorist activity going on which has been stopped by MI5. It receives little coverage in the press.

www.mi5.gov.uk...

The list of notable terrorist offences listed on the web site

* 27 February 2002

Moinul Abedin was sentenced to 20 years' imprisonment after being convicted of making large amounts of detonators and the explosive HMTD in a Birmingham house.

* 1 April 2003
Leicester residents Brahim Benmerzouga and Baghdad Merziane were each sentenced to 11 years' imprisonment for their roles in fundraising for Al Qaida and other extremist groups.

* 1 March 2005
Saajit Badat was imprisoned for 13 years following his admission that he had plotted with jailed shoe-bomber Richard Reid to destroy an airliner over the Atlantic.

* 13 April 2005
Kamel Bourgass was convicted of plotting to commit a public nuisance by the use of poisons and/or explosives to cause disruption, fear or injury. He was already serving a life sentence for the murder of PC Stephen Oake.

* 7 February 2006
Radical London cleric Abu Hamza was convicted of incitement to murder and sentenced to 7 years.

* 7 November 2006
Al Qaida operative Dhiren Barot was sentenced to a minimum of 30 years' imprisonment after admitting a plot to attack UK and US targets using a "dirty bomb" and gas-filled limousines.

* 30 April 2007
Five men were imprisoned for life after being convicted of a plot to attack targets such as shopping centres and nightclubs using fertiliser-based explosives; two others were acquitted.

* 15 June 2007
Seven men were jailed for a total of 136 years for their involvement in Dhiren Barot's "dirty bomb" plot and "Gas Limos Project".

* 5 July 2007
Three men were imprisoned for up to 10 years after being convicted of using the Internet to promote terrorism.

* 11 July 2007
The four would-be suicide bombers of 21 July 2005 were given life sentences following their convictions on charges of conspiracy to murder. A fifth man involved in the plot was convicted in November 2007.

* 26 July 2007
Five students were convicted on charges of possessing material for terrorist purposes with the intention of going to terrorist training camps in Pakistan or Afghanistan.

* 9 Jan 2008
Sohail Anjum Qureshi, an Al Qaida-trained terrorist intent on carrying out an act of terrorism overseas, was jailed for four and a half years.

* 18 February 2008
Five conspirators were convicted of plotting to kidnap and behead a British soldier and were sentenced to terms of between two years and life.

* 17 December 2008
Bilal Abdulla, an Iraqi citizen who worked in a hospital in Paisley, Scotland, was sentenced to 32 years' imprisonment for his role in terrorist attacks carried out in London and Glasgow International Airport in June 2007.

* 14 September 2009
In one of a series of trials, three men who plotted in 2006 to blow up aircraft mid-flight between the UK, America and Canada by using liquid explosives were jailed for life.

* 8 July 2010
Ibrahim Savant, Arafat Khan and Waheed Zaman were convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment for conspiracy to murder persons unknown. By this point a total of twelve people had been convicted in seven trials for terrorism-related offences in connection with the 2006 aircraft bomb plot.

* 2 November 2010
Roshonara Choudhry, a student from East London, was convicted of attempting to murder the MP Stephen Timms after being inspired by extremist sermons she had watched on the Internet.

Rather than prosecuting people after they have fought with the Taliban or tried to carry out terrorist activity, what can we do to stop young Muslims from trying to carry out jihad?

After all, something is seriously amiss when about 600 Muslims serve in the British armed forces but perhaps 4,000, according to MI5, have been trained by the Taliban. It isn't a positive trend.
