I'm only 17, so I have little interest in analysing the propaganda I see on the commercials. They say Romney made jobs, other commercials are stating he destroyed Massachusett's economy. I see adds where they say Obama has helped our unemployment and economy. On the other hand there are political advertisements that deem Obama as an inefficient leader for our country's economy. Can you guys help clear this up? I don't care if you write two lines or an epic novel. Any unbiased information will be greatly appropriated by DisUglyBoyHere.

It's good of you to have an interest in the workings of our Country...good for you...

S&F for you.

Obama, for being a supposed Constitutional expert, he's done the most damage to it. He's usurped vast amounts of our Constitutional Freedoms without following due process. Just because "he said so". I consider him to be the most dangerous person to have come to power in our Country. He has no respect for the principles our Country was founded on.

jmoho....Des,,,,,sorry not unbiased

How do you tell if a politician is lying? Their lips are moving.--Ancient Chinese Proverb
Well, maybe not too ancient or Chinese but its true.
Moral of my story? Theyre both lying

How can you tell when a politician is lying?

His/her lips are moving !

All politicians shade the truth and take credit for things that happened during their administrations and forget about campaign promises as soon as the election is over.

Everything they say was written for them by an advisor.

The advisor is paid to do a job which is win.

Truth is never a requirement.

The only advice I will give you is you should go out and learn for yourself...this is not the place to get accurate information about either Obama or Romney.

There will be no unbiased opinions given to you here...and you should not base your own opinion off of other people's opinion.

You are better off to go off and listen to what each of them says, and then go do your research to determine if you think they are being honest and if you personally agree with them.

They are both lying. Mostly. All mainstream politicians and their campaigns exaggerate, spin, and tell partial truths to stimulate your emotions. Your best bet is to fact check on your own. My opinion is that both are terrible, but I'd take Romney over Obama mostly because it is plain that small businesses simply will not hire as long as Obama is President - with good reason. He's great if your ultra rich or a government dependent. In the long run, they both have the same destructive policies. Romney offers some short term positives but will ultimately support the welfare state and the corporatocracy at the expense of the middle class the same as Obama.
As a younger soon to be voter, I'd say forget the 2 party system. Look at 3rd choices, like Libertarianism or whatever is closest to your personal beliefs. Or party politicians who buck their own party, like Ron Paul or Dennis Kucinich.

Who's Telling The Truth?

Any Child can answer this...

Neither. Both are pathological liars...it's their job given to them by their Puppet Masters.

There is absolutely no need to ask this question anymore since the World is well aware.

Peace,

People are biased by nature so here is my views.

George Washington hated the idea of political parties.

The Republican party: The GOP today take a more conservative approach to government and wishes less government in peoples lives. They favor less taxes and wish less spending on social issues. Anti Illegal immigration, Anti Abortion, Anti gay rights to marry, anti environmental policy, anti banking regulations. Pro wealthy, pro corporations, Pro Christian, Pro authoritarian government, Pro war and the military industrial complex, pro drug war, pro prison industrial complex, pro gun ownership pro racial profiling. Alleged: racist in nature and pro elitist, anti civil rights, pro aristocracy and theology based government, tends towards fascism.

Republicans are responsible for the war in Iraq, and Afghanistan and for the collapse of the economy in 2007. Failed to prevent 9/11, this lead to the patriot act and the department of homeland security. The republican dominated supreme court normally rules in favor of police, industry, corporations and government when its vs citizens. Watch the film "The end of America" by Naomi Wolf to understand what they tried to do during the last Republican administration.

The Democrat party: Often referred to "the party of the people" or the lesser of two evils. There mostly supported by immigrants, blue collar workers, women and minorities. Democrats tend to be more liberal on issues. They tend to believe the federal government needs to take a more active role in the lives of the people especially the impoverished. Pro immigration of all kinds, pro workers union, anti gun ownership, favors environmental policies, banking and corporate regulations and supports the clean air act. Pro welfare and governmental safety nets directed at the poor, pro universal healthcare, pro freedom of choice, pro poor people, pro civil rights, anti racial profiling, tend to support freedoms for all.

The DNC supports a more socialist form of government and society.

Also research the differences between red and blue states to see what form of ideology government is most effective providing better services such as education, roads and bridges, crime rates, prison incarceration rates, unemployment, total unemployment benefits, poverty levels, healthcare and any other topic you wish to compare.

Also research what it means to be a independent. You don't necessarily need a political party.

I'm not wealthy, I'm not pro elite, and I don't support a theocracy and I favor environmental, corporate, and banking regulations. I believe in freedom for all, not just a certain racial group or freedom based on religion.

Good luck

By there fruits you will know them. Look at what they have done and judge based on there actions.

How do I know who's telling the truth? I don't listen to political advertisements paid by third party Billionaires. That's how! I look at the campaign messages, and the plans. That's basically all there is to it. Whoever has the most powerful message and the most reasonable plan gets my vote! Oh, and the fact that I never vote Democrat helps too!

Whatever, Bush and Cheney blatantly flaunted the constitution and laws and they didn't care what happened to the country, whereas Obama seems to have some concern for people.

Romney will shred social spending and let business do whatever they want, which may make jobs but will have all kinds of nasty side effects. He will also get rid of Obamacare which means insurance companies will go back to taking your money and then dumping you as soon as you get sick. He will pump up military spending which is already way more than we need. If you want to have any chance of getting social security when your old and can't work don't vote for Republicans.

Or maybe you are just blinded by all the "good" the democrats have supposed to have done. Jeez Talk about blatant bias, or maybe that was your purpose. Yup Republicans are Evil Democrats are good. I support freedom!

Democrats and Freedom don't really go well together....

Why is it that whenever someone points out what Republicans believe or do they call it biased or lies??

The assessment was accurate, and yes the Republican party is evil.

Why are you guys or gals arguing about which party is better. They have both been in control of the presidency and congress , yet we still are dealing with the same issues: Corruption, medicaid, medicare, taxes, healthcare, etc...

The truth is , its always about the money. Therefore follow the money to find out why politicians do what they do.

Ask yourself who does congress (Democrats and Republicans) work for? They don't work for you because whether you like them or not they are taking your money by taxing you (you have no choice). Hence they are not overly concerned with pleasing, especially since your vote is not what really matters either.

What really matters to congress is the billions of dollars a year they get from special interest groups and multinational corporations (not to mention insider trading tips). Those same special interest groups and multinational corporation are not to keen in spending billions of dollars a year for 50/50 odds. Therefore those multinational corporations do not care about republican or democrat ideals, what they care about is making sure that they own both sides of the political spectrum to ensure a return on investment with a 90% odd in their favor.

Bottom line Obamney and Romney differ in political party rhetoric only but both have the same agenda and that is to please the special interest groups and lobbyist. That is why you will see Republican act like Democrats and vice versa.

Isn't funny that the GOP nominates the ONLY politician to actually implement a mandated gov't healtcare program , but yet chooses to attack Obama for the same thing. Romney is by far the most un republican candidate out there, As a matter of fact I wonder sometimes if the democrats didn't plant him as a mole within the republican party.

If Romney didn't have a 'R' on his t-shirt he could be Obamas vice president and the democrats dream team: OBAMNEY.

Now Obama , on the other hand broke way to many promises even before he got elected. He didn't stop war on iraq and continued with guantanamo bay like a good republican.

One thing is for certain, the lobbyist lean more towards the democrat side. That is because since the lobbyiest control gov't they would prefer a bigger presence of gov't in our lives. In other words BOTH republicans and Democrats are going to give you bigger gov't, not to protect you but to control you and the market for the lobbyist and special interest groups. That is why Republicans haven't shrunk gov't and actually increased gov't control like the democrats. Bush was a heck of a Democrat by doing the bailouts that Obama continued roling out and Bush did a great job of creating bigger gov't to control you.

Sadly the truth is , the system is to well oiled to really make any difference on who you vote for.

To find the truth and to make sense of politics just follow the money and not party ideals.

The collapse of the economy in 2008 had 2 major factors: the housing bubble and derivative gambling. That directly goes back to massive pressure on Fannie and Freddie to forgo intelligent underwriting on loans with government subsidies (ie paid for by middle class taxpayers) and to the repeal of Glass Steagall. Both of these things are directly attributable to the Clinton administration, who also used fascist federal force against American citizens who posed no threat to anyone (Branch Davidians and Waco). Things never fall into neat little categories. But yes, Bush continued and ramped up Clinton's authoritarian policies. As Obama has done with Bush's

And that, my friend, is what you call partisan buffoonery. Please ignore it if you have any common sense.
Both parties are "evil". The Republicans are slightly more honest about it.
And they are the only party that contains a genuine reform movement within it. Granted, the party establishment hates the freedom movement within their party and are trying to undermine it however they can. The Democrats just kind of naively accept their incredibly weak leaders' lies.
And they support the destruction of the individual and of individual freedom in everything they support. It is absolutely disgusting.

I lived in Massachusetts when Romney was governor. He did an amazing job in an incredibly hostile environment. Most of the comparisons are fairly disingenuous, I would be happy to go over them if you have a particular comparison you wish to be addressed.

Which President signed into law something that allows for indefinite detention of American Citizens? You get two guesses, my hint is that he is not a Republican.
