I just got into a Polygamy thread and it occurred to me...

If gays could marry, I bet many of them would adopt. So by keeping them from legally marrying, the government is cutting off an entire population of potential families. They won't be able to conceive together, but I bet they'd like to raise kids. If gay marriage were legal it would open up a whole new pool of potential parents for these children.
