Why are Chemtrails always white?

Never gonna happen. I've asked numerous times why, if chemtrailing is real, would they not just do it after dark when there would be no fear of detection. I've never gotten even one answer.

So why don't the orange ones spread out to cover the sky?

I suspect that picture was taken in the early or late sky. We do see clouds turn orange at those times.
It seems that chemtrails are always the same color as the clouds nearby.
Why is that?
