I. Am. Tired.

I am bloody sick of giving a bleep about anything. Back in 2008 I started going through this "awakening" process. It was a good time of my life, I felt something. Today, I feel nothing. I'm finding next to impossible to not be completely compressed in a thick shield of apathy every time I hear about another piece of the world falling apart.
I watched Egypt revolt. I watched RT and Al Jazeera every single day thinking this is it, the is the world changing. Such a beautiful revolution it was. It was peaceful, meaningful, people of all different religions and backgrounds coming together as one for a common goal. IT WAS ALL FOR NOTHING. For this "Muslim Brotherhood" machine to take the reigns. How could all of that be for nothing? It's sickening.

I watched OWS start up, get large, get ignored, get noticed, spread, make it to my city so I could be a part of it (which the government shut down due to "fire safety") and then go where? Nowhere.

I got false hope with Anonymous, promising this, that and the other. Nothing.

Wikileaks, some corruption no one seemed to give a # about.

Ron Paul gave me powerful hope. It's dwindling and dwindling.

Where the HELL is our Climax? Where is our smoking gun? Where is our passion as a whole? Where is our sense of justice? Where is our sense of comradery? What the hell are we? Wars we let happen, rich getting richer, hungry getting hungrier, and the ignorant people getting more ignorant. We're sick and we're messed up and we just don't care.

I'm tired of caring for everyone else when they don't care about themselves.

All we do here on ATS (and every other forum on the planet, online or otherwise) is pick at each other and fight to the death to be right and make the other person feel bad about themselves.

I wish I could slap every single person on the face and say WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING? JOIN US, DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS INJUSTICE YOU'RE FACING. FOR CHRISSAKE!

I seriously hate it! I'm so over this entire planet, maybe we really aren't worth a single god damn.

End rant!

Thank you, that felt great to type out.

You might want to edit that "one" word before the mods do.

I get you, and I look at it like people don't start what they finish. My advice is to stop watching the world. If it does change in a radical way, you'll know it when it happens. Good or bad, what really can you do if you see it coming beforehand? It's not like an avalanche that you see coming from a distance that you have time to avoid. You can't leave the planet to avoid something big.

I often find myself asking the same questions you do.

I feel sad an angry when people "don't care" simply becuse they don't want to think about what the ramificactons might be later down the road. I don't know If people dont want to see cause and effect or if they are simply unable to.

Personally I dont see the point of intellegince if you can't see cause and effect. Either way star for you. Some things are worth bitching about.

Seems to me you're just a normal person sick and tired of the woo loo loo brigade telling you to wake up.

It's one thing to be aware of the world around you, another to see things in everything, especially when they are not there.

You spend so much effort trying to uphold the facade that you're awake, aware, not a drone, etc.. when all it takes is a brain to think.

Been there, done that. all you end up doing is struggling against the actual way we have to live. We're fish swimming in a stream, some swim along with the current, others, against it. They tire out and before they know it, they're still going in the same direction as the rest of us, despite all their effort.

And sometimes, the stream is just a stream... it's not leading to a fish farm. And we find ourselves swimming towards the ocean.

Sure, if you swim into nooks or crannies, you find yourself trapped, and this can make your journey appear valid.. And sure, there are people out there with hooks in the river waiting to catch the unaware.

But life, like the stream, takes us no matter what.

Fighting against it just makes you tired...

Swim, be aware of the dangers, but it's up to you if you choose to swim against all odds... in the hopes that before you die, you unravel the truth and have not become insane from the extraneous energy you've wasted getting there...

This will all tie in with your post. It may not make a lot of sense at first, but I think you may find some of this to be helpful. Not only for yourself, but ultimately for the world.

You've lost sight of one of the main issues in this world. Most of the world's problems, if not all of them, stems from miscommunication. We each have the main goal of achieving happiness in our lifetimes. Everything we do is based on what we think, or what we are taught would make us happy. This is the same for each person. Most everyone has forgotten this simple fact. Because we have forgotten, each of us take separate life paths on what would lead to our happiness. Some people work hard and want to make a lot of money thinking that everything they buy will make them happy. Some people end up stealing and using money to buy drugs, because they think that being high will keep them happy. Make them feel good.

And we are happy, for a while. Or something close to it, at least.

Others want power. They think telling other people how to live their lives, or what to believe, or how to act will make them happy about themselves. This all ties in to what is and has been happening for a while now. Humanity has lost its way. Buddhism and other ancient religions have known about this. They have tried to tell us, but many religious teachings have been corrupted by the misinterpretations of men who have lost their way and have abused power in the name of religion, so we lost focus over time. Little do the power hungry people know, all that would make them happy is to be in control of their own lives. We don't control our own lives anymore. We are always driven by socially taught ambitions and greed.

This all ties in with what is happening now. These are birth pangs. We are in the process of teaching ourselves a lesson. By ourselves I mean the collective consciousness we all share on Earth as a whole. We will know what it means to be one, to get along, and to communicate and understand one another. But it will take much time and more pain for everyone to wake up.

You have deep thoughts when you're by yourself (by the way, think about how we differentiate between a "deep thought" and a regular one. Ask yourself why we view deep thoughts as something good or profound). I know you do. About the world and such. Things you know would make the world a better place. What you think we really are. Things you think about but don't share with most other people because you don't know how you should explain it, or because you're afraid to come off in a certain way that you think the other person will perceive you in, or just don't know how to approach it in a 'normal' conversation. The shift in consciousness is realizing that everyone will have those thoughts. Everyone will understand themselves and how they should live their life, a lot of people will take longer until they catch up and start to realize. They will know what needs to be done in order to truly experience happiness away from a greedy, corrupted, materialistic version of society. Why do you think the world is so bad? We are relying more and more on "things" to bring happiness. The "awakening" is realizing that it's not true. That you can't just tell yourself you are happy when you're really not inside. Being awake is being in touch with your feelings because you know what is right. Not suppressing them because you need to continue on the path of your 9-5 job thinking that one day you'll be happy because you bought a house that you only work to pay for anyway, before growing old and dying.

Share your thoughts with people. Tell them what you think would make the world positive, not why you find the world to be negative. A lot of people need a push in the right direction. Words can mean a lot to someone.

Sorry for the long drawn out post. I felt like I had a lot to say.

Good on you for letting it all out! Many people don't let it out and it bottles up, bottles up until you can't hold any more and your bottle explodes.

As someone who has also awoken, I too have shared your sentiments. I have ridden the roller coaster rides of emotions that follows an awakening. Along the way I too was disappointed to see things change in the world for what I thought was for the better only to be let down.

But I no longer concern myself with world events. World events are just that... World events. If we as individuals were to tackle such a massive task on our own, I believe it would quickly burn many of us out. Sure some people may be destined as individuals to change the world at the world level, but then we must also accept that some or most will not.

I dont know you but Perhaps your talents lie with those around you. Your friends, your family, your local community. Perhaps they need a shining example. Someone with truthful positive values if that's how you roll.

Perhaps many people are awakening around the world to shine the light on their own little communities and be the inspiration for change at the community level. You can take down the mountain only if you can push the snowball at the beginning...

Who knows! It's all in the fun of learning, lessons and experience. My suggestion would be to find inside of you what you love, hold that light in your heart and shine to all those around you.

Trust the truth in your heart.

I can relate to this, why care when no one else seems to give a damn?. People don't try to change anything, they put all of their faith in God and believe that he will protect them their own mistakes? What a bunch of BS, look how many innocent children are getting murdered in Palestine every day. When you care they brand you as being a bad person, when you don't care they give you the same label so it's a catch 22.

Sometimes I honestly feel like slapping some sense into ignorant people. Short rant over!!!

I too, have felt this way, you are not alone. There has been many ups and downs and let downs.

Just remember, Nothing worth it comes easy, nothing. In a sense we have to muddle through it all, to 'earn' what comes next. I still believe there's hope for all of us.

No problem. We must remember to never give up. We have our ups and downs, good and bad. It may not be everyone, but as long as we don't give up some of us will help each other, even in our worst of times.Sometimes the hardest thing to do is to continue when those odds are stacked against you, when life just seems to beat you down over and over again. It reminds me of a story someone once said. The lion isn't the king of the jungle because he never gets his @ss whooped. The lion is the king of the jungle because when he does get his @ss whooped he gets up shrugs it off and gets ready to fight the next day.

Bingo! That's the problem, very few are thinking in terms of doing anything for Christ's sake. This is bigger than us, I am sort of surprised that so many are afraid, angry or sad and will do everything, join everything, EXCEPT read the bible for themselves. It's all in there, everything going on right now, it's amazing. Some people are offended just at the suggestion to read the bible (the bible even says why people are offended by the word).....seeing what is going on, don't be surprised if the bible gets banned in the future.

Luke 3:14 Do violence to no man (now tell me who are the leaders obeying?).

Could be me writing that rant. Im sorry that this crap is not going faster and I am myself getting extreamly feed up with the lack of change and the smallminded ego views that still go around here (both in the world and ATS) where ego trumps empathy. The problem is that their ego activates my ego and I wanna push some sense into their minds but that will not work since either they are not ready for the information or my views are wrong. I cannot find any logical error in them but maybe I am blind to my own errors
.

Planet earth is so bittersweet. So much potential, so much beaty, so much insanety and egoism. Do anyone mind if I pray for a smaller harvest or is there a full harvest on the way? Sorry it is not for me to decide but I am still tired of waiting. Like a child wating for christmas that gets postponed all the time or a person waiting for his love to come home missing her so much.

grab a beer, sit back, and watch a few re-runs of Sinefeld, or some other mindless sitcom.
Your mind will go blank and you can relax. Just be careful with the commercials! they have hidden messages in them!

I think we all get like that from time to time. take a break for real. Watch the sun set.

You may be going through what is called "compassion fatigue." Compassion, good-will, and the ability to give a damn exist (arguably) in finite amounts. This happens alot with health care workers, attorneys, journalists, etc. Basically it's just "give-a-s*** burnout." It's ok. No single individual can care about every problem in the world. Allow yourself some time to recharge.

I hear you mate and you are spot on. I felt that too, during the "arab spring" it really felt as though things were really starting to move! It's been the same with in europe. Greece and italy and spain coming to the brink and then getting yet another bail out. Then greece gets a referendum on whether to leave the EU and i'm like great! Tell them where to shove it greece.... and yet they vote no? They want to stay in the cesspit?

I don't know man, will it ever crumble? Surely it has to because clearly countries can not just keep going further and further into debt without it all come crashing down. How could that be possible? Perhaps though it has much more life in it, much more than I'd hope for!

What the hell can we do though? I joined the occupy london stock exchange and all I found was a bunch of socialists/communists! Which would actually want the government to have MORE god damn power! I was really left scratching my head!

For clarity I'm a voluntarist or anarchist, whatever you want to call it. I talk to people all the time about it, and a lot of them really couldn't give a damn. It is somewhat heartbreaking! Even on here though, I posted an awesome stefan molyneux debate just yesterday and it got like one comment! In my opinion stefan has a lot of the answers. Though I certainly do not see him as some Saviour. He just has some great common sense and i find his points really hard to argue rationally.

Guess we just got to keep on at it and most importantly teach our children about who they are. Perhaps we will not see the other side, it pains me to say that. But maybe our children will?

Sounds like your spirit is broken. Build them up and break them down. That is what they do to slaves. Build them up and break them down. Give them pipe dreams full of false hope and take it away. Breaks them every time.

You have been broken.
