Girl 'bleeds' stones from eyes and ears

"Stones have been oozing out of the ears, eyes and nose of a schoolgirl in this Jharkhand capital, puzzling doctors who say they have never seen anything like it before.

Savitri, a Class 7 student from Hazaribagh district, first complained of stones coming out of her nose in April this year. But things have worsened dramatically since September 30 and stones have started coming out from her ears, nose and eyes.

The young girl, who is presently undergoing treatment at the Rajendra Insitute of Medical Science (RIMS) in Ranchi, said, "For the last week, things have been really bad. It is most excruciating when it comes out of the corner of the eye."

Doctors are clearly baffled.

"The stones have been sent for medical tests. I have not seen or heard about stones coming out from eyes before," said Dr Chandrakant of RIMS.

Added Dr Ragho Sharan, ENT specialist at RIMS, "In some cases, stones have come out from the nose and the ear of some people. But this is the first time I have even heard of stones coming out of the eyes.

"Stones are formed due to the high level of calcium in the body. But they are generally found in the gall bladder and kidney," he explained.

RIMS is planning to set up a medical board to probe the extraordinary case of a girl who is otherwise normal in every other way."

Sounds weird, but doesn�t sound like a hoax...
Supernatural or is there a natural explaination for this?

Used to be an old Indian Yogi trick...I'll have to visit the link...if it's something else...

the naturalistic explanation is that its fraud. This sort of thing is something that yogis (as gazrok mentions) and shamans and medicine men do to demonstrate their power.

Look at it this way, its been shown to be done as fraud, is there anything she is doing that the frauds weren't?

thats really weird and I remember a girl at my school when we were about 11 years old who had really weird hands, embedded in the palms of her hands just under the skin were lots of tiny stones, maybe they were calcium deposits but we all used to think she'd fallen and scraped her hands and the grit had lodged itself there only to be there forever...funny the things you try to explain away when youre kids

You know that they have cameras in India now, right? Be skeptical of any fantastic claims these days without photographic evidence...

they had this on ripley's believe it or not. they actually showed it happen and had an official interview, etc, etc. it was really awesome. i'm sure there's a scientific exlanation though.

There are microscopic crystals in the ear which help in coordination and hearing- the removal of these will lead to vertigo. However, without a CT scan we must assume (medically) it is a hoax. Perhaps Factitious Disorder By Proxy?

I saw something like this on the History Channel as well, except the girl would "bleed" glass chunks out of the corners of her eyes. No other parts on her body would leak it, but it would come out from the corners of her eyes. The strange thing was that these would be really sharp pieces, but she would never receive a cut, they would just be seen coming out from the corner and would fall out, fairly big chunks too. They would just keep coming and coming, ozzing from the corners. They have hours of video footage of it happening, very VERY strange indeed.

I believe they somehow related it to a Biblical reference. Something like this?

ok does this means that she was BLEEDING stones as in ROCKS??????
