BIG SIS TO AZ: DROP DEAD!

www.washingtontimes.com...

The Obama administration said Monday it is suspending existing agreements with Arizona police over enforcement of federal immigration laws, and said it has issued a directive telling federal authorities to decline many of the calls reporting illegal immigrants that the Homeland Security Department may get from Arizona police.

NO he is not a nice guy, I am so sick of people saying I may not agree with Obama, but he is such a nice guy, he is not a nice guy, and four more years of mister nice guy, will really wake you up.

Make some sense please.

fascism (ˈfæʃɪzəm)
— n
1.any ideology or movement inspired by Italian Fascism, such as German National Socialism; any right-wing nationalist ideology or movement with an authoritarian and hierarchical structure that is fundamentally opposed to democracy and liberalism
2.any ideology, movement, programme, tendency, etc, that may be characterized as right-wing, chauvinist, authoritarian, etc
3.prejudice in relation to the subject specified: body fascism

Fourteen Defining
Characteristics Of Fascism
By Dr. Lawrence Britt

Dr. Lawrence Britt has examined the fascist regimes of Hitler (Germany), Mussolini (Italy), Franco (Spain), Suharto (Indonesia) and several Latin American regimes. Britt found 14 defining characteristics common to each:

1. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism - Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.

2. Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights - Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of "need." The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc.

3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause - The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe: racial , ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists, terrorists, etc.

4. Supremacy of the Military - Even when there are widespread
domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized.

5. Rampant Sexism - The governments of fascist nations tend to be almost exclusively male-dominated. Under fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Divorce, abortion and homosexuality are suppressed and the state is represented as the ultimate guardian of the family institution.

6. Controlled Mass Media - Sometimes to media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common.

7. Obsession with National Security - Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses.

8. Religion and Government are Intertwined - Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to the government's policies or actions.

9. Corporate Power is Protected - The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.

10. Labor Power is Suppressed - Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely, or are severely suppressed.

11. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts - Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free expression in the arts and letters is openly attacked.

12. Obsession with Crime and Punishment - Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses and even forego civil liberties in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations.

13. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption - Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to be appropriated or even outright stolen by government leaders.

14. Fraudulent Elections - Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections.

Those who champion illegal immigration as a right that says their nationalism(IMexican) is more important than any other one in this country after all there are Chinese, japanese, irish, english, german, polish, and a slew of others.

No other demographics has the importance of pandering than the hispanic demographic

The support of illegal immigration is a right wing, chauvinsits, authoritarian means to an end the Scotus, and Holder, and Obama used fascist means to accomplish their goal.

Good...that is what Jan Brewer gets for trying to over step her bounds.

ICE will handle things on their own in Arizona...Jan Brewer can direct her police to attempt to check the legal status of anyone they legally come in contact all she wants...but she is just wasting resources.

Obama is sending a strong message...don't try to reach over my head...or find yourself all alone with no help.

This has nothing to do with his "niceness"...this has to do with him having to put an out of control maniac governor and Sherif in their place because they are so delusional and idiotic to know when to stop.

Now if law enforcement suspects you of being a illegal alien, they cannot ask you to produce documentation to prove the contrary. Unless it is to imply there are two standards: One in which you are legally here and any law enforcement can ask for identification. Another where if you are suspected of being illegally here and you cannot be questioned. In that case, its best for law enforcement to assume everyone is a legal resident or visitor and still ask for their papers.

No we are ignorant to the "facts" as you perceive them but if there is one thing I have learned on this board so far is that you speak for the vast minority so therefore I must understand the "facts" the way the majority understands them and I am good with that.

I take disagreeing with the majority in the politics section of ATS as a compliment.

I showed you that Obama is doing more than other presidents as far as deportation and border enforcement. These are verifiable and unbiased facts...you can go look up the numbers right now...I gave you links to do so...but you choose re remain willfully ignorant.

You are a perfect example as to why I am fine being in the minority.

And he should be doing more because immigration is at a all time high but taking individual states to court over immigration laws is silly. Stop trying to compare him to other presidents. He is the one in office right now. It is his job right now to be doing something about it and the fact that we have more illegals than ever before and illegal births are soon to outnumber legal births is ridiculous. I don't care how much he is doing. More needs to be done and we dont need to be wasting time taking states to court. Why do you have to compare everything to past presidents. I never said Bush did more did I? In fact I don't remember anyone saying that.

No one is championing illegal immigration here. Not one single person. What most of us are doing is saying that is was a good thing most of this law was thrown out because it was blatantly fascist. You may want to carry around your birth certificate and photo ID with you everywhere you go, I don't. Nor do I want any legal American citizen to have to do so. I like to go swimming and walking and I don't feel like getting them wet or carrying a purse all the time. What if I forget one day? I can be arrested. That's really the country you want to live in?

You didn't answer the question...how does this ruling absolve others from having to carry their passport or visa???

If a legal immigrant or foreigner is caught without their visa or passport...they will still be subject to the penalties for doing so.

This ruling changes nothing...it leaves the current state.

This is pretty sick.

They do nothing and zilch!

Obama gave us an expample what his policy is to handle the imigration crisis!

Cost california 6 billion a year on illegals alone!
I bet alot more to than that.

Hospitals are being shut down because of them!

So now the states themselves, cant make there own laws to combat a serious problem?

HEY FEDS!
Whats the definition of Illegal?

Sure they have human rights, but not US citizens rights!

We are reaching a boiling point.

So you think it is ok for someone from another country to not carry their papers? But you think it is ok that you or I should have to when were in another country?

You support preferential treatment of illegals. Just so were clear on that.

Wow...you don't follow conversations very well...do you?

We weren't talking about somoene from another country...we were talking about American citizens having to carry "papers" in their own damn country.

You said you were willing to do it...I said I wasn't...you are somehow justifying it by saying you have to carry a passport when in another country.

Go back...and read the conversation slowly...then think about what you just posted and see if you can find your logic mistake.

And where would you get that. This whole thread has been about illegal immigrants. Why would we deport citizens? You have to be kidding me. I didnt realize this thread was about the US deporting its own citizens. My god.. I have been completely off base then. Then I completely agree with you. We should let the Legal citizens stay in the States.

Must you try to turn everything around to suit your needs? Stop being such a child. You knew damn well what I meant. Grow up.

The ruling prohibits the law enforcement from asking for papers from any foreigner, legal or otherwise. The only exception is if such a person is caught or suspected of an committing a crime other than illegal entry into the US.

You just don't seem to get it.

If I CHOOSE to engage in my privledge of driving...I have to have a license to do so. If I CHOOSE to open a bank account...I need to identify who I am to the private organization...same with gym or video rental.

Howerver...I shouldn't have to CHOOSE if I simply want to take a walk unless I can somehow prove who I am, and if I am supposed to be here.

It's crazy to me that you are openly advocating to live in a restrictive police state where you have to prove you are free before you do ANYTHING.

I swear I have heard you ranting about freedom before...I guess you don't care about that anymore. I guess hate overrides freedom...it is a very powerful emotion.

Well if States like Arizona wouldn't be idiots...he wouldn't have to waste time and resources on them and could do more.

Stop trying to compare him to other presidents. He is the one in office right now. It is his job right now to be doing something about it and the fact that we have more illegals than ever before

Ok..you say you want him to do "more"....but you don't want me to compare him to anyone else

Do you see your logic flaw there???

And also...no...we don't have more illegals than ever before...that peeked in about 2007. Again...if you would do just a little bit of research before opening your mouth...I wouldn't have to correct you and make you look foolish all the time.

www.pewhispanic.org...

As of March 2010, 11.2 million unauthorized immigrants were living in the United States, virtually unchanged from a year earlier, according to new estimates from the Pew Hispanic Center, a project of the Pew Research Center. This stability in 2010 follows a two-year decline from the peak of 12 million in 2007 to 11.1 million in 2009 that was the first significant reversal in a two-decade pattern of growth.

and illegal births are soon to outnumber legal births is ridiculous.

Oh boy...I would ask you for your proof...but I'll just save you the trouble and point out your incorrect information....again.

I'll even use Fox News for you.

www.foxnews.com...

Eight percent of all U.S. births in 2009 were to couples with at least one illegal-immigrant parent -- 350,000 babies. The report says that the vast majority of those giving birth in 2009 -- 61 percent -- arrived in the United States before 2004 while only 9 percent arrived in 2008 and beyond.

So it was at 8% in 2009...and yet you claim it is soon to outnumber "legal" births????

I would love to know where you get your information from...I really hope it isn't from your personal observations again.

I don't care how much he is doing.

Yes...that is quite clear at this point.

You don't care what Obama does...nothing will be good enough for you...even though he is doing more than Presidents before him.

This ruling is a blow to the fascists. Rarely this court makes a decision I agree with but in this case they ruled on the correct side.

It make logical sense to check on the status of a persons who has been detained, and not just targeting people for walking down a street. This was clearly racial profiling and the court ruled correctly IMO, I'm surprised based on how the court is very politically right leaning.

If congress wasn't so fascist and none functional because of a small radical element we could be celebrating comprehensive Immigration reform. Come on congress lets work together to fix our immigration mess and lets improve those low approval ratings!!!

I still find it mind boggling that the very act of law enforcement officers being able to ask for identification of people they arrest had to go all the way to the Supreme Court for a decision.

In any other country, no ID equals big trouble.

I even make sure I have my drivers' license if I go for a five minute drive to the store, just in case, and I live in Canada.

You SHOULD have to provide ID if you're simply taking a walk and are in the country illegally.

This is where the fine line is. The police should be able to stop anyone, at any time, and ask for ID, they can in many other "non fascist" countries.

Usually, in those countries, the people that get in the most trouble when asked for ID are .... AMERICANS.
