Socialism vs Capitalism.

Capitalism has #ed everyone with promises of unsustainable growth. Socialism can and will work if given the proper chance and room to breath. Socialism can and has been used badly, same with Capitalism. (Especially so)

What they don't want you to know is that reformist socialism COULD fix the global economy and KEEP it fixed, giving the people what they deserve, what they work for.

Capitalism will KEEP failing for US THE PEOPLE, whilst the elite will KEEP winning power and debt from the inevitable crashes of capitalism.

Its all easy shouting out 'evil communism' whenever someone dares mention socialism, that's exactly how they want you to think, trapped in their self perpetuated political paradigm bull.

The real issue at hand here is getting young people more interested in politics. Politics and economics based on the needs of the many not the elite few.

After a lot of careful deliberation the only way I can see out of this complete and utter mess is a complete reform of the democratic/capitalist system (NOT ANARCHIST OVERTHOW OF GOVERNMENT)

The success of this can only be assured through a mass revolution of the young mind. A socialist revolution. With safeguards in place to stop tyrants and what happened before when socialism failed.

Just because Marxist/Socialism/Communism has gone sour before doesn't mean you should wipe it away like # off your shoe whilst capitalists continue to # you, me and a majority of other people around the world NOW.

I don't know how much more I can stress this.. I'm joining a local socialist group. I suggest you all at least consider the same.

If you care that you're being #ed anyway. Maybe you enjoy being democratically #ed. At least its democratic

Clearly we must find another way this one isnt working. Why must we recycle the old ideas of the past cant we come up with something new. I read Marx at a very young age it sounds like it would work right? but no because most people are too greedy to allow that. Either the want of money or the want of power destroys it. Sounds well and good till someone realizes that for EVERYONE to have some they might be asked to give up some of what they have. Most people are still not willing to sacrifice for the good of others and when you start talking about the well being of the whole, people get all weirded out about NWO. We are smart and creative and resourceful we CAN come up with something better but first we have to be willing to let go of what we have now and step into the big unknown.
Too scary for most people who want things to keep on keeping on the way they always have.

Human made systems, all of them, religion, politics, economic are all corrupt to the core. Every last one of them. I wonder if humans are capable of designing and implementing a system that works and benefits everyone. So far I see no evidence that this is possible.

This is exactly why the revolution needs to start with the youth! Its such a hard task but we can't just lie down and get raped until lose all humanity and do literally become nothing more than cattle.

I agree, we need something new.

Socialism, not a bad idea - can be corrupted by incompetent and power hungry people. Same with capitalism, true captialism is not bad -but what we have today is crony capitalism - a perversion of the true system.

Time for new ideas. All the old ones have had their chance and failed.

Time for something that doesn't involve faulty human rule - maybe we should defer to higher beings that only have our best interests at heart. Be warned there are good and bad higher beings.

That sir is the problem. Socialism works great in a computer model. Throw people into the mix and it fails.

But socialism has hardly been given a fair chance! It has persistently been undermined and thwarted by capitalism and her warriors. The smear campaign against socialism has run rampant partly.leading to a complete lack of faith in its practical implementation.

As long as the youth is not giving up or in I wont either. This is your world now. Our problems are big so THINK Big. Dont let old outdated failed ideas limit you in your ambition. I believe in the potential you and your generation hold. Dont let it slip through your fingers like so many generations before you. Keep fighting the good fight and believe me when I say it is definitely worth it.

Why does it always have to be one thing or another. The perversion of both Capitalism and Socialism have been the stupidity that one precludes the other!

Those things required by the nation should be owned by the nation. Back in the Seventies the power companies, water company, phone companies etc etc were owned by the Govt for the people. Then some idiots, supposedly following some idiotic ideals sold them all to private industry. That was the most stupid move possible. Hell, the USA, the mightiest of them all sold the Federal Reserve! How utterly stupid can one be.

A lot of politicians made a great deal of very sly money.

Both systems can work side by side quite happily.

The truth is out there, usually smack bang in the middle of two extremist views.

socialism is a bad bad idea. just look at europe its crashing. just like it always does and always will.
you must consider human nature before anything. man will always think he is smarter than the last guy.
he thinks he can do it better than the last. they say socialism is the most compassionate, everybody is equal.

nobody will ever be equal under socialism, ever. the mastermind will make sure of that.

socialism is for the people, not the socialists.

capitalism is the most compassionate form of govn't/economics. how smart you are doesn't matter. no one is equal in value or class. in capitalism you are equal in opportunity. you only get what YOU strive for. you are free to do what you want, when you want, and how you want. this is human nature.

The United States of America, has given trillions of $$ of it's wealth away to 3rd world countries and devloping countries. is that not compassion. how much has greece given, or n. korea or china or the soviet union or the list goes on. yes i mean TRILLIONS.

and yes i know that recently america hasn't been very capitalistic. and look where we are headed.

and america is not a democracy. it is a nation of laws. it is a Republic.

Think with reason and experience. Not emotion.

No it is not. Think of Socialism, Anarchism and Capitalism as the three points of a triangle. Now move towards the center. All three of these are at the extremes. Think for yourself. The most dangerous animal in the world is a teenager who has stopped thinking and allows others with their own agendas to do all the thinking. Total Socialism is destructive in mind blowing proportions.

America does not give aid because they are good and wholesome. They give aid to buy Governments, to prop up tyrannical rulers. Let's have a look at how much aid was given to Saddam when he was useful. How about Marcos in the Philippines. That is not aid, that is purchasing power!

How about just letting workers vote on the direction of a company instead of allowing rich CEOs and corporate executives call all the shots? It would seem that stocks are just an illusion of democracy because they allow outside forces to make the decisions of a company, while the workers toll away at their jobs.

Yeah, but that is the thing though, I think that there is not a form of government out there that is not open to at least SOME corruption from people...

I do think that there are some out there that are more easily corruptible than others... But at the same time, many have their fine qualities as well.

There is Socialism even right here in America, you know. Fire Departments, Police Departments, Paramedics, Public School, Public Library, The United States Postal service... Though, arguably, the American education system needs repair, I am quite fond of those other programs.

Socialism does work in a lot of ways. That is not to say that I am ready to up and move to a full on Socialist country or something, I do like how things are run here, generally speaking....

But don't think that socialism fails in every aspect...As I am hoping to imply...It does work in some ways....
