50 Facts that Obama WANTS YOU to see, but most likely won't because you're too busy chugging the GOP Kool-Aid

1. Passed Health Care Reform: After five presidents over a century failed to create universal health insurance, signed the Affordable Care Act (2010). It will cover 32 million uninsured Americans beginning in 2014 and mandates a suite of experimental measures to cut health care cost growth, the number one cause of America’s long-term fiscal problems.

2. Passed the Stimulus: Signed $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act in 2009 to spur economic growth amid greatest recession since the Great Depression. Weeks after stimulus went into effect, unemployment claims began to subside. Twelve months later, the private sector began producing more jobs than it was losing, and it has continued to do so for twenty-three straight months, creating a total of nearly 3.7 million new private-sector jobs.

3. Passed Wall Street Reform: Signed the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (2010) to re-regulate the financial sector after its practices caused the Great Recession. The new law tightens capital requirements on large banks and other financial institutions, requires derivatives to be sold on clearinghouses and exchanges, mandates that large banks provide “living wills” to avoid chaotic bankruptcies, limits their ability to trade with customers’ money for their own profit, and creates the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (now headed by Richard Cordray) to crack down on abusive lending products and companies.

Despite the vicious opposition he faces from Republicans in Congress, President Obama has accomplished a lot of things. I don't expect a lot of people to actually go through the article but hopefully some will educate themselves and not believe everything that is spewed out by Fox News and the right propaganda machine.

Obama might not be the perfect candidate but he certainly is the better one. Instead of blaming President Obama for not keeping his promises you all should be blaming Congress.

A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for Obama.

You know, I can't help about how Politicians scream country first but go out of there way to do nothing for the country so they can win the next election.

Go Obama.

Mostly talking points that are easily rebuked.

Keep drinking that DNC Kool-Aid. It's just as bad as the other stuff.

For me, I'll keep drinking my home-made lemonade and keep thinking for myself.

Were in for a # storm, either way.

Again did you bother to see the chart that I posted? That's the number of times cloture needed to be invoked. Republicans have made it their goal to block every piece of legislation proposed by Obama so they can brainwash people like you into believing he hasn't kept a single promise.

You Obama fans disgust me.

America is a lost cause.

Part of me will be very happy when the USD is unseated and the US collapses.

Four more years!

If you people vote for Obama again, the world should declare war on your nation officially. Most of the world is already at war with the US, working toward unseated the USD as reserve. It is just not 'total war' yet.

Obama was the last straw.

If you people elect him again, I will have no sympathy for you when you are destroyed.

Thank all Lords of all religions that some conservative efforts have at least tried to keep the wild spending under control !!

You can only imagine what the debt would be by now !!

The 51st "Hidden" Fact is:

Obama wants out.

He will make more money on the public lecture, TV, and book circuit

And no more criticisms either !!

He did his duty by taking 10's of millions of economic prisoners, and making sure they stay put.

Exactly. Who is the only group making government overspending an issue? The Tea Party.

And we get Democrats coming out saying that the US debt limit should be removed. The Democrats are insane. They are raving mad. Complete lunatics.

It's spelled four not for in four more years. And just who is going to destroy America? There are only a couple of nations on the planet that can give us a run for our money when it comes to firepower and guess what? Your insignificant little nation isn't one of them. When WW3 does break out I hope your government has fun deciding who to run to for protection.

What blows my mind is my country is filled with people who actually believe, and they believe so hard too, that the person they vote into office, after they spend millions in campaigning, is actually going to make a difference.

It's not the president we need to blame, it's congress people. Congress is the real problem, the president is the goat in the backyard that gets blamed when the roses go stepped on.

Get it right, stop being blinded by what was told to be the best thing around, Democracy, it would work, if people weren't so corrupt.

I wonder.

Is there a complete list anywhere that shows exactly how any "failed" or "blocked" legislation would have actually been positive for the Majority of Americans ?

Don't count the chicken feed or the pigeon splat.

I thought all the legislation that has passed needed some Republican support in order to pass in the first place.

I am puzzled.

Republicans create jobs.

Lots of jobs means lots of profit for lots of businesses !!

no matter what is added to that list (right or wrong), or how many items are highlighted, it will never cloud my vision of the Nobel Peace Prize winner who carries a Kill List in his pocket.
or the Treason he has committed.

Federal Spending

While I do agree that the Obama administration has done little to reduce the amount of federal spending, his administration has actually spent moderately.

President Bush signed the massive spending bill under which the government was operating when Obama took office. That was Sept. 30, 2008. As The Associated Press noted, it combined “a record Pentagon budget with aid for automakers and natural disaster victims, and increased health care funding for veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.”

Bush also signed, on Oct. 3, 2008, a bank bailout bill that authorized another $700 billion to avert a looming financial collapse (though not all of that would end up being spent in fiscal 2009, and Obama later signed a measure reducing total authorized bailout spending to $475 billion).

Ordinarily, an incoming president has little or no influence over spending that was approved under his predecessor. So in normal circumstances, all spending for fiscal year 2009 would have been rightly tied to Bush, and fiscal 2010 would be the first year for which Obama would have prepared a budget and signed the major spending bills. And for the most part, big spending programs that require no yearly appropriations, including Social Security and Medicare, did indeed continue to operate during fiscal 2009 under the policies in effect under Bush.

so, why doesn't your chart show Obama spending ??
typical, blame Bush for what happened 3yrs ago, but don't show current trends.
do you really think readers are this superficial ??

Hey Obamabots, you had better hope he can legalize the illegals because if a rhetoric filled list is your selling pitch to the public your in trouble.

LOL - Stimulus packages, bailouts - a good thing? Keep on drinking the kool-aid my socialist friends.

Though when you look at the alternative: Romney - we are all in for some serious trouble.

That was obviously a typo that was edited while you were writing your lame response.

Australia could destroy the US right now by backing the BRICs and helping them destroy your USD.

Australia does not need 'protection' from America. Your military is overrated and gets defeated by peasant farmers and terrorists on dirtbikes.

Australia is far from insignificant. If we break our alliance with the US we pretty much shut them out of the Pacific.

Your arrogance and obnoxious attitude seems to be typical of most Americans. I think your public and people like you are to blame, just as much as the likes of Obama.

And you wonder why the world hates America? Because of people like you. You should think about that.

edit- Obama is a war mongering idiot. Why is he in the pacific trying to start something? He is worse than Bush. If you people elect him again, you will deserve your doom.

Obama doesn't seem to be the big spender that the Right wants people to believe he is. He has actually managed to keep the spending levels moderate compared to the trend that Bush left
