Cheney looks infinitely more calm, and they are both doing good in the point, counterpoint arena. Edwards is clearly using tactics often reserved for the courtroom, however, and has a tendency to avoid the direct question and is tending to run off on a bit of a tangeant, IMHO.

Why is Edwards, who is a practiced and experienced at argumentative debate, looking flushed and frustrated.

Well it's fun with Dick and John tonight. John Edwards is adorable but totally ineffectual- he comes across as weak and a puppet. I have never been a Cheney fan , but honestly its like putting the elementary school debate champion against Dick Cheney. Conviction is what he lacks. Being Vice President requires more than mouthing what Johnh Kerry says. if I ever hear another "John kerry is a great Vietnam vet remark I will puke.

The rest of the allies are really small african nations and others that barely contribute.

Great debate and the madela issue came out he did not replaid on that one.

cheney is upset, and yes the countries are very small countries that depend on US help for their survival.

Man Edwards is right when he says the US needs a President that the rest of the world will support, not just the Americans! Or it will be terrribly lonely, cold and empty when all the young men and women go off to war for Bush.

It's really interesting seeing comments from people that believe Cheney is mopping the floor with Edwards.

I'm monitoring another HUGE conversation of people thinking the exact opposite and that Cheney looks more nervous than Bush. More to hide.

I think it's pretty even myself. I can see why Bush supporters want to make it into a win as payback. And Kerry supporters a second win for Kerry/Edwards..

But so far, it's neither. It's just an excellent debate. If you stay open minded.

Cheney was asked about jobs and poverty and he rambled on an answer about education! Can't he hear, or is his pacemaker (going off everytime Haliburton is mentioned) interferring. Man stay on topic. The world is not what you what Cheney, but the way it really is. He needs to see more than a heart specialist, he needs his head removed from his rear.
