Let There Be Music

This may sound strange, but since the 9/11 attacks I have hoped to hear music when I turn on my radio. I was awakened on 9/11 to my clock-radio like usual, but instead of the chatter being the typical morning giveaway stuff, it was the announcement of the hijakings.

My new alarm clock just buzzes so now when I get into my car to drive to work I hope for music. The daily news announcements of car bombs in Iraq and other terror attacks worldwide have become commonplace so it's not like I'm worried about radio news. It's just that in the split second it takes for my car radio to warm up, I hope that I'll be hearing some music and not some multi-faceted coverage of 'horror-in-progress.'

Anyone else feel that way?
