www.channelnewsasia.com...

Says in the link, five years max, and hes onl got to pay up to 100 grand in fines!
this nets him a tidy 600,000 per year profit!when he gets out(with good behavior) in four ears hell have a very nice profit from the interest on the +three million $!
Is there some flaw in the system here?
Some people get far more time for less money.......why do these white collar guys get all the breaks in court?
This is robbery straight up give the guy the max and take back the dough...not just 0.3% of the loot!

At least he went to jail, bribery is very much a global problem and in many places just part of business as usual with the law subverted, corrupted or just paid to look away.

Point well taken.....but three milion dollars for five years jail time?
I think it woud be a holiday of anticipation and relaxation no?
How would you ike to sit in jail knowing you had three million bees making honey for you out on the street, and just waiting for your return.......Could even arrange to iherit a small fortune while imprisoned or other gaffe to make life bearable inside.
No wonder people at that level are tempted to go rogue.....they play it smart, and the system as much as assists them to get by with minimum penalty.Like they had no volition or premeditation in their crimes....the guy took money more than once.....try him on ALL counts and send him away for a long time...These are crimes against the peope whose buying power is crippled by such corruption world wide.

I am sure they will be watching him to see if his lifestyle is above his means, and if so take action. Hope they get some back.
