Arab League demands Russia stop arming Syria

MOSCOW - Russia must stop providing military supplies to Syria, Arab League's deputy secretary general Ahmed Bin Hilli said in an interview with the Interfax news agency on Thursday.

"Any assistance to violence must be ceased because when you supply military equipment, you help kill people. This must stop," he was quoted as saying in comments translated into Russian.

Don't go off-topic. Otherwise it'll turn into a poo-flinging contest. This thread is about the Arab league asking Russia to stop supplying arms to Syria.

Not surprising, the Assad regime has a strong relationship with Iran which doesn't make the Arab League particularly fond of him anyways. If I recall correctly, Syria was removed from the Arab League awhile ago.

In the way if they do not stop then the Arab states will stop buying Russian arms as well. Looks like Russia will have to decide where the money is because the days of double dipping appear to be at an end.

Lol. The CIA is in Turkey instructing that government which groups to arm in Syria.

The Arabs are Russias cash cow. In the end Russia is going to HAVE to do what they wish.

This is a joke.

The Saudi and Kuwaiti Regimes are financing the Free Syrian Army and giving them the weapons they need to wage war.

Hypocrisy at its finest.

I hope Russia tells them to get stuffed and backs Syria in this conflict but I find it unlikely.
Russia is afraid to stand against the West unless it has no other options available.

At least Iran will stand by Syria and China have expressed their opposition to any military actions from NATO/UN.
