Okay folks, lets try something. With so many time zones, so many work schedules, I am trying a simple approach.

I will create regular debate threads. If successful and I get questions from members.

THE RULES

1. Only candidates are to post in this thread.

I'm no mod, but I will run around and scream like a little sissy if this gets abused.

2. Civility at all times, please.

(see above sissy remark if you have questions)

3. No advertising, or fan base visiting.

4. Keep to the questions at hand.

If you are not a candidate, but want to comment, OR if you want to make suggestions, pleasepleaseplease use THIS THREAD to make your comments or suggestions.

Candidates can link their platform threads.

Lets stay civil and see how this goes. If it is successful, I'll create more Debate threads. I also may "bump" this from time to time just so everyone sees it.

Now for the questions.

1. Do you think a world-view discussion is necessary for the Regent position?
Why?

2. How would you differentiate yourself between the other candidates approaches to this position?
What makes you unique?

3. How would ATS benefit from your leadership?

No, that's stupid.

I'm not a filthy plebeian.

Do you know what happens when you put plebeians in charge?

3. How would ATS benefit from your leadership?

It won't.

I might be a douche, but I'm also the only patrician candidate.

A plebeian was put in charge of Rome once, and he burned it to the ground. Are you saying you want ATS to be burned to the ground?

I am running on behalf of the newly formed Schizoid Party after all. My existence is a momentary lapse of reason.

Your bad ideas are the ATM. Shed my skin, leave it for the homeless to sleep in.

Just once?

A member of the plebs was known as a plebeian (play /plɨˈbiːən/; Latin: plebeius). This term is used today to refer to one who is or appears to be of the middle or lower order; however, in Rome plebeians could become quite wealthy and influential. In fact, Nero, a Roman emperor, was born a "pleb". His success was not uncommon and approximately 30% of Roman emperors were "plebs".

I'm a member of the Booze party, but I don't know if I'm an official candidate or not...we're drunk.

1. Do you think a world-view discussion is necessary for the Regent position? Why?
2. How would you differentiate yourself between the other candidates approaches to this position? What makes you unique?
3. How would ATS benefit from your leadership?

1. - No... we mean about as much as a squirrel in a tree in terms of policy.

2. Again, not sure if I'm eligible, but I'd stick to my guns, it matters not. But opinions are still valid in this world.

3. If I had any ATS leadership.... ATS would be in a lot of trouble.
My stance is a non stance.... as in non compliance.

If we don't cooperate with the system, then the system ceases to exist.
Pretty simply concept, happens to work, yet not enough will comprehend it.

Does being drunk become mandatory for the Booze party eligibility?
If so, I am more qualified than most eligible candidates... for one, my spelling is amazing!

Why?

Considering we have all grown up being conditioned by our societal structures and beliefs, it would be ludicrous to state that none of us have a type of Weltanschauung or world view, regarding individual qualities, our society, and that of the International sphere.

Having a discussion on each of our world views would be an interesting point, as all involved would get an intimate glimpse of each other's personal opinions and beliefs.

Having said this though, i don't believe a world view discussion is crucial for one to attain the Regent position.

2. How would you differentiate yourself between the other candidates approaches to this position?
What makes you unique?

I view the title of Regent as a title which belongs to the people. While this goes against the direct definition of a Regent (an Individual), it is absolutely crucial that the citizens, our equals, get a say in the decisions made regarding ATS.

What makes myself unique regarding this position is that i don't view the title of Regency as one for an individual. While an individual will hold the seat, said individual should not have unequal power. If i were elected as Regent, i would make sure that everyone gets a say in the decisions made, even if it means going to the polls to ask for opinions (of course if the mods allow it).

3. How would ATS benefit from your leadership?

How would ATS benefit from our leadership? Simple, they will make the decisions (out of a select few) as long as it fits in with the end goal of the ATS People's Party, and that of Above Top Secret.

As for the previous members who have replied on this thread...cut it out please. You's are meant to be upholding the respective nature of Above top Secret, not attack each other!

That screws me all up. I am a map vender.
I don't have all the answers, I just sell (for free) maps to all locations.

The "answers" are spread out everywhere. It's the questions that are what is suppressed.
Take heed of that.... those who never question anything, they are those under suppression.

It's nothing personal I can assure you, with age comes grumpiness and a great responsibility to use it wisely and without prejudice.

You are of a 1 track mind tonight.

I'd post your main theme of plebeians but your anger is irrelevant. It's been deleted.
By the time this is posted, all your posts may be gone, hopefully.

Your optimism is outstanding compared to others'. Please, amaze us with your wisdom.
Show us the direct path to apathy, let us not mistake our true roots.

You are not gaining any respect with those disgusting comments. You seem to be treating this like a joke...but if you aren't, then you may want to leave the room. There is no room for egotistical runners who view every one around them as inferior plebs.
