Obama asserts executive privilege on Fast and Furious documents

I agree with you entirely. So what do we do about it? It all starts at home, and I can raise my kids to do the most honorable, and honest thing, but what next? I am more of an open minded guy. My old comander in chief was Bush #1, and Bill Clinton. I agree little difference in them. Like I said earlier today, Govt. Starts problems, not the people so why did we put them in? I take blame! I was fooled like alot of folks. I am more interested in what in the world to do about it before mexico, and our Govts. executive power makes me a stranger in my own nation.

What Obama is doing is highly sketchy and raises a lot of suspicion. But like someone else said where were the outcries when Bush was engaging in downright illegal activities. BTW, "Fast and Furious" was started under Bush.

Didn't they just come out today and recant this saying that it did not start under Bush and that they had inadvertently stated this? But I am voting for Romney because in my opinion all of this "He is just the same" talk is just people trying to keep Obama in office. They are not the same.

I posted a thread on the original call for Holder to Resign but it didn't get much attention.

Now with Mr. Transparency working to keep these documents from seeing light, I think we can understand that this goes much, much deeper than just the gun-walker/fast & furious scandal.

The nigh useless congress, if it was doing its job, would have terminated his faux presidency years ago, and booted out all his string pullers too.

This is just another bullet point in a long list of things this evil man should be impeached for, and put on trial for treason.

U got me! I feel like it is the lesser of the two evils with Romney. It just frustrates me so much to see that we park wrong we get a ticket. Fair is Fair, but our top Law Enforcement Dude violates the law, and the top leader backs him up with this order. I say Mitch MConnell , Ron Paul, and anyone else that can do it, should make this bigger than water gate with Nixon. So darn fustrating!

It's funny. Before I heard about the Fast and Furious case I had heard MANY "rumors" about the US government funneling guns to the Sinaloa cartel. The government was scared the Zeta cartel would interfere with the 2012 Mexican election, so they were attempting to arm the Zeta's enemy, the Sinaloa cartel.

Come to find out 80%+ of these straw buyers and gun runners were Sinaloa cartel associates.....

Maybe thats why Obama won't release the documents

Correct... The program that was being run under the Bush administraton had the cooperation and consent of the Mexican government and law enforcement. The program under the Obama administration did not have the consent or cooperation of the Mexican government / law enforcement.

The DOJ issued a press release stating Holder misspoke when he stated this program started under Bush. This one is all Obama's DOJ.

Fast and Furious began in 2009, I'm pretty sure Bush was an ex-president at that point in time.

I would say Obama is a Radical Marxist masquerading as a moderate.

I would also say Obama and Holder have an Anti - 2nd Amendment Agenda.

The strategy for Fast & Furious was to smear the gun dealers and attack the 2nd Amendment.

I fully agree with you, it is ridiculous that something of this magnitude can be allowed to happen. So let me get this straight. Obama and his A.G. Got caught doing something they shouldn't. Now when they are being held responsible, Obama is trying to abuse his power to keep them out of trouble. This has treason and injustice written all over it.

So what exactly does Holder have on Obama that made Obama assert executive privilege? Obama isn't known for helping people but is well known for throwing people under the bus. I'm wondering what Holder has over Obama to make Obama do this? The name Larry Sinclair comes to mind ...

We need a serious 3rd party candidate or a shakeup at the nominating convention to get a person nominated by floor vote.
