The United States no longer uses Nuclear Weapons in their Defense Equations. The U.S. has much more useful as well as powerful weapons that can render another countries Military inert. Nuclear weapons are only used in planning of retaliation of another countries ICBM or other Nuclear weapon launch or use or as a First Strike preventative Measure against an Imminent Launch of Nuclear Missiles or other Nuclear Weapons.

The U.S. Military is without peer. It has had Nuclear weapons capabilities since 1945...that was 67 YEARS AGO! I know without any doubt that the U.S. Military has New Weapon systems of such variety of use as well as specific to mission or use that Nuclear Weapons are seen as Dinosaurs.

While countries such as Iran or Syria attempt to develop the most rudimentary of Atomic Weapons...67 YEARS after their First Use...the United States has Battle Ready Weapons of such advancement and power that they are kept secret until an opportunity presents itself....such as about a year back when a Falling Satellite with a Booster Tank loaded with Hydrazine...was blown up in orbit by an Upgrades SM-3 Missile that previously to this demonstration was unknown to be able to be a Satellite Killer or have the ability to also be able to easily destroy incoming ICBM's. This was achieved by a Breakthrough in Solid Rocket Fuel as well as Networked Super Computing Target and Acquisition systems.

The U.S. has many other Top Secret Weapon Systems that have not yet been used but are Battle Ready...and if these weapons are needed...they will be used. Split Infinity

All the more reason why the leaders of Iran would seek to develop a nuclear weapon as a deterrent not for offensive reasons. That is if they are even trying to so do.

A Few Nuclear Weapons is not a deterrent for U.S. Military Action. Even 20 Nuclear ICBM's that are ACCURATE is not enough of a deterrent. The U.S. would preemptively either seize the weapons or if they were atop Missiles...shoot them out of the sky.

In reality...Iran is working on the most rudimentary of a 1945 style Nuclear Bomb. It has no ability to place one of these atop a missile and the only delivery method it could actually attempt would be with a large truck. A Nuke aboard a Truck can be easily followed by several methods including specialized Satellites.

The First thing you have to take into account is the constant overstatements of a Threat as this is how Lobbyists get Politicians to spend money on Military Programs we don't need.

Secondly...these Missiles are pieces of S#!% and they have an over 99% Failure rate as far as getting even CLOSE to a target if off the ground.

Thirdly...the United States pulled out of the Polish Land site that was to be used in conjunction with Russian Radar as well as another site as well as Radar in the Czech Republic...not because PUTIN Bitched about it but two Breakthroughs in Tech. allowed for a BETTER OPTION.

This design was refined into the first successful Soviet subarine-launched ballistic missile with MIRV warhead. This was designated as R-27U (also known as RSM-25), which was designed in 1971-72 and tested in 1972-74. This new missile could cary either three individual warheads or a single heavier warhead. Complex D-5U with R-27U missiles was accepted into service in January 1974. This missile could be launched from depths of 140 to 160 feet (42 to 48 m) at speeds of up to 4 knots. In the period between 1974 and 1990 161 missiles were launched with a 93% success rate.

Missiles need CONSTANT maintenance and the R-27U was a single stage Liquid Fueled Missile that leaked like a sieve. The North Koreans have neither the Tech. nor the Right Fuel to Launch these in any useful way and any U.S. Satellite would have alot of beforehand notice when one of these was being fueled up as unlike U.S. Missiles or ICBM's which are all...SOLID FUELED AND ARE DESIGNED TO LAUNCH AT A SECONDS NOTICE...these pieces of crap are more apt to BLOW UP AS THEY ARE BEING FUELED.

The R-27U was also notorious for being extremely inaccurate. They did not have much of a range since much of their fuel was lost at takeoff due to bad seals as well as Liquid Fuel Pumps that had a tendency to not fuel this missile to 100% even though THAT was even impossible given the leaks.

The guidance system on this missile is so old that the U.S. would not even need to shoot it down. There are a variety of U.S. Aircraft designed to perform electronic warfare against such a missile and even an F-15 or even F-4 E.W. Varient could steer this thing right into the ocean or even back at it's own launcher.

As I have said...the United States does not fear a County with Nuclear Weapons and even Russia will not even be an issue once the FEL is fully installed. Split Infinity

You can go on several Russian Media sites and see a Video of a Russian Admiral chastising the Iranian...Civilian Leadership of the Iranian Military that made Boastful Statements about Iranian Naval Capabilities being capable of defeating the U.S. Fifth Fleet which is a U.S Nuclear Carrier Group with all surface ships and subs that come with one.

He said right on Russian T.V....the Iranians should not be boasting about taking on a U.S. Carrier Group. No one is saying that The US isnt superior,when it comes to technology. What I am saying is that even the old Russian Missiles are dangerous.Missiles in the wrong hands,with Nuclear warheads,dont need to be accurate.............To do damage.

Sonny...I agree with you and what I and others see right now is PUTIN attempting to get a lock on power in Russia by employing the tactic of using the current U.S./Russia Military imbalance as a way to get the older folks who remember a time when the Soviet Union was a Force no to be triffled with and was respected.

Those days are LONG GONE....and when the U.S. reached out to Russia...they at first took our hand as we helped dismantle thousands of Nuclear Weapons in Former Soviet Territories which would not allow the Russians to get these Nukes Back.

Then came the Polish Land Based ABM system which was to use Russian Radar as well as another base and radar system in the Czech Republic. Russian Techs were to be on site of this ABM launch area in Poland and there was a deal for the U.S. and Russia to Co-Develop a better system. PUTIN...made the claim...which is ridiculous...that this small ABM system could be used on Russian ICBM's which number in the thousands and a few ABM's were designed to protect Europe as well as Russia from a Middle Eastern Launch. Putin made such an issue of it...the U.S. backed out of the deployment which saddened the Poles who had been under Soviet Control for so long.

The TRUE reason of why the U.S. backed out was explained to the Poles as we have promised POLAND to be under our current ABM NET as well as the FEL...Free Electron Laser Net once fully deployed. The Russians could have been a part of this as the Current SM-3 has surpassed expectations but it is the FEL that Russia truly lost out on. Even though just a few FEL's are operational...and the full system will be installed in all U.S. Carriers and Aegis Class Cruisers with their own Nuclear Power Source...the FEL system with it's Satellite Over the Horizon Specialized Target and Acquisition Systems...is BEYOND the capabilities of any and all nations to counter.

Please read up on it as it is the ULTIMATE WEAPONS SYSTEM and has the U.S. completely changing their plans for Force Projection. I cannot state just how powerful this system is even now never mind fully deployed and Russia could have been a Partner...but now they are just so far behind that it is no longer even a joke. The Chinese were INFORMED of the U.S. intention to deploy the FEL and China has decided that there is no sense in developing any large Blue Water Naval Force given the FEL's capabilities. If you have noticed...there has been virtually no more threats about Taiwan and the Chinese have Helped reign in North Korea.

China is smart...they know that to confront the U.S. Military is folly so better to be a Good Business Partner than an enemy. Russia is still hanging on to day's gone by and Putin and his ex-KGB Cronies are Bleeding Russia Dry! He is the problem not Russia's solution. Split Infinity
