yeah the house just shook hear for about 20 second first a kind of vibration noise then the house shook, thats in east melbourne.

Felt it for a few seconds out in the western suburbs. Seems to have hit most of Melbourne.

Hmm.. I moved to Melbourne to get away from the quakes in Christchurch. Not as big as the aftershocks over there, but still a decent shake for a place that rarely gets quakes.

i live northwest? Melbourne. sunbury, that would have been one on the fault line through bass straight.

Western Aus will sink and no one would know until the mines all got soggy. lol

Joking aside, hope no one got hurt - spose we'll hear it on the news just before midnight here.

Just had a look at the USGS site and it says it was a 5.2mag at a depth of 9.9Km.

Ive heard via social media they felt it as far as alice springs and Dubbo? Anyone know if thats true. Seems to have been felt buy a wide area.
