I agree with that statement in concept.

Without pointing the finger at any particular group of people, hypocrisy is a word most often applied incorrectly as an instrument of institutional salvation (no pun intended). It is used by people who adhere to or enforce a particular ideological inference of religious doctrine as an expression of it's absoluteness (uniqueness).

In actuality, the definition of hypocrisy can only be applied to the self deprecation of over stepping one's own personal standards, not those of others. If one applies it to individuals in any degree, it becomes a rationale for his own demise.

Yes, technically, a violation of the teachings of an organization would be hypocrisy. If he doesn't recognize it, the question then becomes one of sanity rather then ignorance. This is where human constructs override intellect altogether. For me, it represents a phenomenon of the human psyche in which collective socialism can foster various levels of cognizance from non-intellectualism (obedience to instruments of control) to that of abject nihilism (insanity).

How this is manifest through secular movements can readily be found in civil news sources related to the behavior of Jews, Christians and Muslims on a daily basis. It seems that organizational religion serves the political and economic interests of both leaders and individuals on all levels of society. Rather than saving people from their weaknesses, it is implemented as a tool to obfuscate the human gift (intelligence) and impose limitations on its scientific potential.

For this reason and many others, mental autonomy is critical to spiritual evolution and world peace.

I am honored by the complement, especially coming from someone like yourself. I have NO interest in theories, I deal only in FACTS. Forget the rabbit, you need to go after the octopus if you really want to see REALITY. You are correct in that many conspiracy theories are just used to throw people off the trail. The key is in learning to discern between truth and lies.

This is a problem with religion and not this side or that side. This time it was the Christians that acted out of hate, the next time it will be Muslims, and then the Jews, forever and ever and ever -- as long as there is religion. It really doesn't matter which side is kookier at the time.

I'm just waiting for the real Age of Reason -- where religion is exposed for what it is, planet wide and we can finally move towards a more peaceful society that will hopefully see far less wars, once you take one of the major reasons for them out of the equation.

The Qur'an very clearly says of Muhammad that he performed no signs. In Surah 6.37, when Muhammad's adversaries say "Why has no sign been sent down to him from his Lord?", Muhammad is bidden to reply merely that God could send one if he wanted to but had not done so.

In the same Surah we read that Muhammad said, "I have not that for which you are impatient" (Surah 6.57), meaning signs and wonders such as Moses had. He goes on to say that if he had had them, the dispute between him and them would have been decided long ago.


So Muhammad had not the kinds of signs and wonders Moses nor any of the other prophets could do. He was nothing special. The second Caliph succeeding Abu Bakr (who also commited suicide after learning Muhammad was a false prophet by eating the poisoned mutton as well), Farooq the Great called Muhammad a liar. Not to mention "Gabriel" supposedly flew Muhammad around the M.E. and showed him the lands when even Yeshua ha'Meshiach did not get that treatment, much less the other prophets, he was obviously suffering from delusions and had mind altering siezures and for someone who professed to believe in Christ, he didn't live up to that by living Christ's teachings. In fact the Quran says nothing about Christ's teachings at all, just that he was a great man. So it is amazing how Yeshua could work miracles and raise the dead, when Muhammad was supposed to be greater than he yet Muhammad could not do any miracles? What. A. Joke.

I generally find such statements somewhat oblique and replete with inaccuracies or misquotes (out of context).

The average person may not take the time to do the research. So, ts basically a matter of faith and personal bias whether or not one accepts such a statement.

I am always perplexed at how people rally against the marriage of Muhammad and the child bride Aisha, when the moral permissiveness of modern western culture tolerates an epidemic of child sex, pornography, abortion and so forth.

In the context of his time, marriages of youth were quite common because people matured more rapidly and death occurred at a much younger age than today.

Thanks for the illustrations, texts and videos Murg.. It seems I got what I asked for.

I was a Christian priest (for 26 years) and a Muslim theologian (for the past 8 years). I have been blessed with some unique spiritual/psychic experiences regardless of the Abrahamic sect of my choice.

Having learned first hand that people can be subject to such power despite their religious affiliations has expanded my world view of religion.

It has put to rest the assumption that there is one true religion.

We are all born....
We all breath the same air..

We all face the same problems / issues...
We all inhabit this earth...

What we do now, how we treat others, our actions all have repercussions on everyone in the here and now, regardless of religious / no religious beliefs, nationality / no nationality, male / female, young / old.

What occurs after we die only affects the person who died, which reinforces my viewpoint that a relationship with God is a personal one and is unique to each person.

God made us according to several belief systems. Of all the research and classes I have taken in comparative religions I have been unable to find, anywhere, that God, once done with humans, created religion.

We are not perfect.. We all have flaws...


Most importantly -
We all have the ability to choose what to believe or what not to believe, how to worship or how not to worship.

Using the age old argument about gun control, we can apply that to religion -
Guns do not kill people, the person holding the gun makes the choice to kill.
Religion does not kill people, the person involved with the religion makes the choice to kill.

Maybe thats the answer - Making the choice to come together to defend each others beliefs or non beliefs and to tell those who wish to be extreme, regadless of their religion, that as humans and neighbors, we will not tolerate it any longer. Religions and non religions coming together to acknowledge each others ability to exercise their free will and worship / live as they choose while denouncing violence as a single voice.
