The sun rises up, Daylight spreads wide. The sunflowers awaken, And become all alive.
They turn to the east, And look up high, their stems unshaken, Their souls full of drive.

As the sun climbs higher, They soon follow suit, Turing with praise, As if to salute.
They open up wide, And give a glance of their fruit, A beautiful haze, a strenuous pursuit.

The sun reaches noon, The flowers level and loom, In a bright summers day, In the middle of June.
Never needed to prune, Giving a beautiful fume, They follow the day, As if it's their womb.

The sun sets west, They leach with the rest, And reach for the remaining sun.
The curl their trunks, And come to rest, Leaving the night to become.

They hang their heads, When the day comes to end, And await the dawn of new day.
They ready their beds, Say goodbye to a friend, And settle as one in array.

Tomorrow will come, With a bright morning sun, To begin their dance all again.
They'll rise to be plumb, Till the day is done, The question now till is when.
