I am writing this as a general platform, stating where I stand on the hot button issues of the moment. If there is anything that I do not cover and
you wish to know where I stand on that issue, please, do not hesitate to ask me, I will be happy to answer for you.
So, that said, I suppose I will get right to the point and tell you where I stand on some issues that are important to me and hopefully, important to
each of you, as well.
I stand firm in stating that marriage is something that takes places between two consenting adults who love each other. I believe we
have no right to exclude Gay or Lesbian couples in the right to get married. That is correct, I said right to get married.
As we are now, aside from a few states, marriage is being upheld as taking place between a man and a woman. In marriage, couples are allowed insurance
benefits, they are allowed to visit their sick spouse in a hospital and many other things.
Every day, Gay and Lesbian couples are being denied these things, simply because they are Gay and in love. I believe that this country, this world, is
not truly free until we have equal rights for all. We do not yet have equal rights for all and if I have any choice, I will give our people, equal
I support Gay Marriage. I support marriage between two consenting adults.
should Marijuana be made legal? This is an issue that seems to be rising to the top if the political world and I wish
to address where I stand. Every day in this country, we sell alcohol and tobacco to people. It is no secret just how deadly tobacco and alcohol are.
According to the CDC, an estimated 443,000 will die from smoking cigarettes this year, in the US alone.
This year, an estimated 10,839 will die in alcohol related car wrecks. Teen alcohol consumption alone, kills over 6000 people each year. More than all
illegal drugs combined.
All these deaths and yet they are still legal. How many have died from using marijuana? The CDC does not even have an are of the site that I can see,
that discusses how many people die from usage…So, I am willing to bet that number is pretty low.
There are medical uses for Marijuana and this is being proven true over time. People in severe pain are lessening their suffering thanks to Marijuana.
Studies show it helps with nausea, glaucoma, spasticty And movement disorders.
Yet, this drug is illegal. Jails are becoming crowded and there is no room left for the real criminals.
I support legalization of Marijuana for both Medical and recreational use. Popular or not, this is where I stand.
I think in this day and age, warfare has changed and we all need to change with it. We see changes in the fact that we no longer
to send troops over seas. We have drones, long range missiles and even missile defense systems.
War is changing so we don't need people to fight and die as much as we used to and I consider this a great thing.Keeping this in mind, I think we
should embrace this change in war. I support bringing our troops home, securing our own border and protecting our own land.
We now have the means to protect our interests over seas with out people and I think, we should not be risking human life, when it is not as necessary
as it used to be. If we are to send people into another country, it should be diplomats with words, not soldiers with Guns. I believe that soldiers
belong here, protecting our land. And now, we can make that happen.
Not every country has the right to bear arms. But I think that for the sake of securing our own countries, we should all have this
right. It was put in place here in the United States to help ensure, that should the government become destructive of it's own ends, we have the
means to revolt and fix the country back to what it should be, if need be.
In this day and age, lots of countries are revolting and unarmed, they have a major challenge on their hands having to face off against their armed
and oppressive governments. I support the right to bear arms and I believe it should be embraced strongly.
At the same time, should another country happen to invade, not only will your military be armed, your citizens will be armed and more than ready to
defend their country. This is what kept japan from invading the continental US. The fear and knowledge that it's citizens were armed and
Okay folks, I am running out of room, but I am still writing up where I stand on different political issues. So, for now I will post just this and
will be back with more. Thank you all for hearing me out and I look forward to answering questions you might have.
Peace and love
