Will a short form birth certificate do? Or will we have to provide our long form?

Since this is a global election, prof of being human would suffice.

. . . . . . . . . . . . so in answer to your question, long form.

If you dont have to do anything at all, you get pats on the back and are viewed as special and with awe.. and can just bask in the famousness of it all... I vote for myself. The Malum Canis party. I made it up. It sort of like Libertarianism with cookies.

Sounds fine though. Consider yourself nominated!

We would be using the popular vote right? I've long since thought it was time to get rid of the electoral college for the popular vote.

Not too mention, it would be much easier for what we are doing here.

Id be willing to run as an independent, should anyone happen to nominate me. I don't want to nominate myself. I figure, if people want me, they will come along and do so on their own.

The actual voting would be conducted along the lines of previous ATS polls. Everyone would have the oppourtunity to vote for the person/party of their choice.

And yes, no electoral college here.

I'm sure that'll happen. Just be ready to defend your platform.

Fair enough. And as for the voting process, yeah, I like how it will be done. I figure the simpler the better.

Interesting idea Beez. I will have to keep an eye out here and it is a nice relief from the real-world of nonsensical politics.

Why don't we have those who wish to run spell out their promises and such either here or in their own threads? Then those who wish to follow that person's vote can either flasg or send their support in a reply. Others can also debate their policies in the same thread and who has the most support in the end basically wins.

Just a thought...

Count me in,

Libertarian-Farmer-Labor-Conservative party

Not sure as to the structure, but I'm sure I could wrestle up some nominations and support.

What do I do next?

Banana Republic, I'm in the Banana Republic.

Damn Orange Confederacy think they can strong arm breakfast drinks! Why not have a soothing banana drink mix? Make me regent of the Banana Republic and i can guarantee that we will ally our great nation with the Apple Republic and we will take breakfast back!

Part of my platform is...

Removal of the recognition of civil unions or marriage by government.

Legalization of all substances, and elimination of suppression. The protection of freewill.

Promote resource based, logistic dependent trade agreements. Freeing markets from manipulations stemming from allegiances and government intervention. Allowing for the mathematics and reality of consumption to dictate markets.

Immigration reform, removal of boarders and citizenship. (boarders remain, sovereignty protected, but people having the ability to travel freely)

If all nations are to partake in the global economy, all structured economies must share self similarity with the over all structure of the global economy. Which then goes to remove government involvement with their respective systems.

debates? when does this ball start rolling?

This is a temporary position right, more of a position during transition?
