Chinses owned mines, forestry plantations, manifacturers and a whole hoste of other things, are amongst the highest paied jobs in Australia.

Some of the Mine workers bring home nearly $2400 a week.

What China dose within it's own borders is China's business. But the people they contract to run their external operatonsions in Australia are paied well and treated even better..

China dose want a good relationship with Australia and I for one wealcome this, they can do more for us economically than the US eveer could..

Here's my point...

China could care less about the people of Australia... Australia is only a means, it is not an ally. Think of the high paying jobs that they offer you, as hush money. Knowing damn well they can get away their labor practices, silencing of dissent, and all other sorts of fun civil liberty failings with in their boarders. China is on a last ditch effort to try and make good with what they have left. An economy ready to start rolling like a snowball downhill, just trying to gain ground. That's about it.

So while Australian workers distract themselves with monetary gain, China can go arrest some more political prisoners. Figure it out...

I'm not here to have some communist verse capitalist, verse libertarian socialist argument. That is null and void when it comes to freedom. When 'freedom' is apparent and protected, I tend to agree with the machine that produced this. When it's obvious that 'Freedom' is far removed, I tend to disagree with the machine that produced it. I also do not see american society as a good model for the world. It is debased. The Chinese are good people. I do not know why everyone pretends they are monsters. look at what the US Government does. China minds its business for the most part. And I think that the United states should get all of their navy out of South Korea and Japan and the Philipines and where ever the heck else it is and go home. We can work stuff out ourselves. I do not know why you want troops in this part of the world when you have no money. Your government has no money. You need a budget and you need to fix things. Having navy and troops in the asia pacific is a complete waste of money.

This type of thread annoys me. It sounds like you want WW3. What makes you think TPTB won't bring in the one world government before all of this kicks off? What makes you think the rest of the world isn't going to be dragged into WW3 by China? If they really are getting that powerful surely they'll want to expand so what makes you think USA will start this?

The title itself has an amount of anger in it and all you talk about is how rich your going to be afterwards and how your going to be friends with the alleged victor. I've had the misfortune of fighting in Iraq and the Afghan conflict. It ain't pretty but I was lucky to come back. Thankfully I'm no longer a member of the forces but I think you need to show a little more respect for the members of the forces that will/may be fighting this potential WW3. From any nation. They all sign up to protect the members of their own country and although they may be used as tools by TPTB they do not know that. They sign up to fight the good fight and although their ideals are different they ALL deserve a little more respect than your offering. Please don't see this as an attack of any nature this is just a statement.

In my opinion I think China have it nearly right in terms of economy. They are currently (relatively) prosperous but the way they treat their people is disgusting. Every nation in the world has a problem with the poor but the Chinese seem to take it to a whole new level. I cannot say anything from first hand experience though as pictures and reports out of China are sketchy at best but from what I've seen they wouldn't exactly make good friends if you have any semblance of Human morals. That said I'm not suggesting the US has it right, nor any other country for that matter but China definitely seem to be the up and coming school bully. A bully that I personally do not wish to be associated with.

We should all be sticking together instead of advocating wars or putting forward your opinion on how well off your country could be after the dust settles, we are all people of this earth regardless of political opinion or anything else. It's time we all realised that. Yes you are probably right about a coming war, and yes some of your other points are probably correct too but you've put your point across poorly. Why keep saying your happy to be ruled by the Chinese and/or be friends with afterwards. Why not stand on your own two feet and be counted? If your happy following instead of leading then good luck to you. I'll be sticking with USA and Europe thank you very much.

To close, China wouldn't win on their own. No-one is stupid enough right now to go against the West. Its that simple.

Why do you refer to the Chinese as 'we'? Your OP makes out you are Australian?

Second, the Chinese only seem to 'mind their business'. They are a communist country and as such wont let anything leak out of their country that could damage them. Would you want to live in a country where the internet and TV is so heavily censored? My house-mate moved over there last year from the UK and while the people themselves are great (as they are in most, if not, all countries) the government is the exact same snivelling lying government that we are all used to. They are no different!!

North Korea rips off and starves its own people. They have slave labor camps in Russia, NK, and a multitude of other countries. North Korea exploiting its population to make millions if not billions off lumber and other products have nothing to do with USA sanctions. It is cruel to its OWN people with or without US influence.
