Granted the past cannot be easily repaired, if at all, but one sided global capitalism is greatly excacerbating problems everywhere. Why do people high up fail to recognise this and then fail to take appropriate actions?

I see lots of people from second and third world countries flocking to first world countries BECAUSE first world countries are practising corporate imperalism and choking local business from developing and spreading as it should. If we are going to have global capitalism AT LEAST it should be balanced as much as possible, but deep down we all know a few pennies saved here and there is all that matters to any administration that rellies on campaign money to get elected, don't we?

That is why capitalism is bound to fail and fail relatively soon imo. It is a system of greed and upper-hand exploitation, the rule of the jungle mentality affixed by those with the most capital(a lot of it gained from illegal activity and stored in trusts).

I'm am sooo pissed. My wife of 15 years is a LEGAL immigrant. We have been in the U.S. for 10 years (I was an international development consultant) and her application for naturalization has been pending for over 4 years. Why follow the law when Obama is giving the farm away to cheaters? Oh, I forgot, she is only one vote.

We have laws that can change. We have laws that do change - thankfully

Government and civilization are living, growing, changing things that can accommodate the changing variables of life - if we all work together

Living by the rules doesn't wash away the messiness of life - but it does make it easier for some of us to get through our day without thinking about the messiness of life

Naturalization applications typically take a very long time. You have permanent residency don't you?

Naturalization is VERY different than Obama's policy offering deportation protection for 2 years for people who entered without inspection as kids.

Even if anyone is granted protection under this policy, and even IF they could naturalize, they'd still have to wait as long, if not longer than those in your situation.

This is an enforcement policy...it is his job to enforce the laws congress passes...this was his decision only on a policy for enforcement.

He is well within his rights to make this decision and enact this enforcement policy.
