You don't even have to cut the Starbucks latte, just cut the tip and you'll be fine....the barrista won't be as happy. All those 6 cent tips will add up. Oh wait, I think Starbucks just went up in cost the last year, so you might have to cut that as well. Then Starbucks will raise coffee another dollar a pound to make up for all the lost revenue.

Then the govt will have to step in and bail them out, but they will tell Starbucks they have to cut out all coffees except for the new Fair Trade variety which is already a dollar more expensive than the other ones(because you are donating to the cause). And we all know that Fair Trade isn't free!

I am so excited 100 million dollars the nation is saved!

Current cbo projections put he national deficit at over 21 trillion dollars within the next 4 years and that doesn't matter of Obama is there or a new guy takes over.

Just the other day I realised that the economic crisis in the US, Europe and some other countries must have been caused by people who do not understand anything about the mechanisms of an economy.

There are Phds, Nobel Prize winners and very talented people who know exactly what to do to keep an economy from turning into the mess it is in today. These people are not asked for advise because TPTB think they know it all. TPTB have their agenda but do not realise that running the world is a bit more complicated than forcing an euro or amero down the neck of obedient citizens.

Now this... can not imagine some economist advised Obama to come up with this "genius" solution.

TPTB should start to look into a mirror and ask themselves what they see... They are running the Earth and all the people on it into the ground with their wonderful "agenda".

You're point is well-taken but maybe the next time the President cuts $100 million from the overflowing budget most of us will realize it ain't puttin' a dent in the deficit. Old or not...almost every American can't comprehend what a $100 million dollars is except that it's a Hell of a lot of money...so when the press-titutes plaster a $100 million cut on TV most of us are like "wow, that's a lot of money he savin' us". When it's really BS!

No one on this board is retarded enough to think $100 million is a lot. You're preaching to the chorus and fishing for stars and flags, which is why you neglected to include a source, as that would belay your manufactured outrage over a 3-year old subject, which you presented as news so others would react as if he'd suggested this cut as a solution to the current state of affairs. Fail. There's an entire sub-board on this forum dedicated to the subject.
