Military Drone Mistaken For UFO On D.C. Beltway

Did a quick search, didn't see anything.

I'm not sure what to think about this. I'm almost inclined to believe it is a drone just because I can't imagine them transporting an alien craft uncovered in broad daylight like that.

But at the same time.. I can't imagine the military transporting a 'drone' out in the open like this either

Thoughts?

I think this explains many of the ufo sightings people report. This had to be in planning for a long time.

I can see the X-47 is going to provide amusement for a long time. And not just with the flight testing program. It's going to be very interesting to follow the flight tests, and even more fun to follow the UFO sightings from its transportation across country.

Make or buy your own drone and chase them around then post it on youtube. It will be great!

shouldnt the title be Military Drone Mistaken For 'Saucer' On D.C. Beltway

you cant mistake a UFO, since its an unidentified flying object to begin with

I bet there is going to be a huge increase in sigthings, youtube videos, and stories of abductions by greys or reptiles.

In a way though it is kind of sad.

This is the second X-47B unmanned aircraft to be shipped across the country from one test site (Edwards AFB, CA) to another (NAS Patuxent River, MD). The wings had to be removed from the airframe so that it would fit on the nation's highways. Both times, Northrop Grumman officials tried to forestall the inevitable "flying saucer" reports by leaving the landing gear down and locked so that bystanders could clearly see that it is an airplane. Unfortunately, too many people are more willing to believe a fantastic explanation than a mundane one, and the news media fans the flames.
