The implications of just discovering this within a week ago, as big as it is, is what's making everyone wonder just how effective the NEO program is. If it was on a collision course, do you suppose they would have told us? I think they probably would up until it reached ELE size.

Anybody have a website listing asteroid flybys? I want to make sure I drink all my expensive wine before one hits.

Are you sure the dot is the asteroid, one of them said it was one of the "squiggly" lines on the right

the point is.....this thing was discovered a few days ago and just like the last few thats went by,,,,, so any 1 cud smash into us at anytime,its coming anytime soon and nothing we can do about it

Looks like they just figured out it was boring.

They just cut the feed.

Maybe the asteroid hit their telescope. lol

Considering it's around 3,343,998 miles away and only measures 500 meters across, I think they did a marvelous job. Incidentally with membership you get to use the telescope hooked up to your pc.
