Tommy Giles Rogers (born December 24, 1980) is an American musician, most notable for being the lead vocalist, keyboardist, and founding member of the American heavy metal band Between the Buried and Me. His vocal style combines death growls and screams with peaceful, sometimes falsetto singing melodies.

My brother recommended this song to me and i'm hooked.
I am 26 and have been playing guitar and drums for about ten years and really enjoy hearing something new and different that is actually good. This song is truly creative.

It started like a normal day...
I jumped and explored the yard
My senses seemed tense
Like a bomb between two friends

They've never really been my friends,
Just a common sense of self
But today I feel so strange,
Like I'm someone else x2

My creation
My imagination
I've become different now
My speech and thoughts are out x2

All your sounds I've memorized,
Now I can send them back
Do I show you what I've done,
Or keep it all inside?

I can now find humans friends
Outside our common self
But today I feel so strange,
That's why I'll become my own self

My creation
My imagination
I've become different now
My speech and thoughts are out x2

Wake up.

When discussing Between the Buried and Me frontman Tommy Rogers, the topics most frequently discussed are his frenetic yet soulful keyboard skills, and the delightful contrast between his unearthly growls and gorgeous clean singing. However, not many people seem to realize just what an integral part of Between the Buried and Me's songwriting and composition he is. Rogers is out to blow perceptions away, though, with his new solo album Pulse, issued under his given first and middle name of Thomas Giles. Arranging, composing, producing, and performing the entire album on his own, this dynamic and intelligent musician delivers a powerhouse album of progressive and experimental rock, enlivened by elements of techno and electronic included in the mix. The first single from the album, "Sleep Shake", displays just how much effort went into Pulse, with shots of Rogers performing every single instrument and singing. With echoes of Trent Reznor permeating every second of his music, Thomas Giles Rogers is making his presence felt now more than ever before. -- Chris Colgan
