The Buddha said that when one becomes enlightened they'll look up towards the sky and laugh. Laucius (Lao Zi) says that The Way is so simple that it is there and yet people can not see it!

Now that I finally get it, I have to agree. It is there and no one sees it! Some people spend there entire lives trying different philosophies and never find it, and yet, every single child and animal know it. This is why they say that IT is "child-like".

It all makes sense now. It is so simple and easy and natural...

Too many people spend time looking up towards the heavens for answers - when the truth is to be found within. That is why you cannot see it.

It is not a grand revelation. It is simple and I'm sure that when I say it, people will be unimpressed. I'll say it in a little while.

Yes, and there are also so many complicated systems of getting "there". All of these different types of meditations and different levels of "processing" to get to "The Divine".

Philosophy is often a game of riddles.

Each person can take away a different meaning to a simple thing.

The essence of what I believe the OP is trying to communicate, is that too many people look up for a miracle - to a higher power; all the while not realizing the divinity within us all.

To be at peace with the universe, is to be at peace with yourself, and to realize that you are all you need.

Or so most of the "enlightened" people understand.

Enlightened to me is understanding that our jobs are a joke, and you will end up wasting more than half your life pretending you like it when really you would rather be anywhere else, even if it was stranded on an island and your only companionship was a tortoise named Louie. All of this so you can go buy an expensive toy, say a car, that you think people will see you in and believe that you are somehow better than them because you drive around a shiny piece of metal. All of which directly relates to us not needing to work on anything but a farm, because everything else you were told you need in your life came from commercials, or celebrities telling you that you needed it when in fact all you need is food, shelter, and water.

There is little point in keeping us waiting for your answer. Rather come out and explain it fully so that we can see if we can relate to your answer. You are only hurting the potential for the thread to progress by making us wait.

Each person has their own view of Enlightenment. If yours is the above, then I say congragulations for finding what will make you happy.

I didn't want to speak about my conclusion yet because I wanted others to respond and talk about their point of view. Very interesting.

That's my take on it, as well. You only live until you die, so you can either choose to run the rat race chasing after this thing called "happiness" that is dictated to you by the commercialism pushed at you every second of every day your entire time here on Earth, or you can be happy now with what you have and realize there's nothing to chase because you already have everything you need to be happy.

Saying you'll "say it in a little while" is the unimpressive part.

It all makes sense now. It is so simple and easy and natural...

Jesus said, "The man old in days will not hesitate to ask a
small child seven days old about the place of life, and he will
live. For many who are first will become last, and they will
become one and the same."

Mary said to Jesus, "Whom are Your disciples like?"
He said, "They are like children who have settled in a field
which is not theirs. When the owners of the field come, they will
say, 'Let us have back our field.' They (will) undress in their
presence in order to let them have back their field and give it
back to them. Therefore I say to you, if the owner of a house
knows that the thief is coming, he will begin his vigil before he
comes and will not let him into his house of his domain to carry
away his goods. You, then, be on your guard against the world.
Arm yourselves with great strength lest the robbers find a way to
come to you, for the difficulty which you expect will (surely)
materialize. Let there be among you a man of understanding. When
the grain ripened, he came quickly with his sickle in his hand
and reaped it. Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear."

Jesus saw infants being suckled. He said to His disciples,
"These infants being suckled are like those who enter the
Kingdom."
They said to Him, "Shall we then, as children, enter the
Kingdom?"
Jesus said to them, "When you make the two one, and when you
make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside,
and the above like the below, and when you make the male and the
female one and the same, so that the male not be male nor the
female female; and when you fashion eyes in the place of an eye,
and a hand in place of a hand, and a foot in place of a foot, and
a likeness in place of a likeness; then will you enter [the
Kingdom]."

His disciples said, "When will You become revealed to us and
when shall we see You?"
Jesus said, "When you disrobe without being ashamed and take
up your garments and place them under your feet like little
children and tread on them, then [will you see] the Son of the
Living One, and you will not be afraid"

Jesus said, "Among those born of women, from Adam until John
the Baptist, there is no one so superior to John the Baptist that
his eyes should not be lowered (before him). Yet I have said
whichever one of you comes to be a child will be acquainted with
the Kingdom and will become superior to John."

arpgme me being 1 who seeks the path of the LIGHT also I find your OP interesting. From what I am getting its like all you have to do is follow the golden rule or treat others as you would like treated from your home realm to beyond*. And with that LEARNING may your soul /spirit/ internal energy which once felt alone as a possibly species / energy begin to ascend into other regions where many may have not been acknowledging previously that OTHER* energies exist, why seeking the LIGHT @ the same time recognizing you were never alone just being observed until your LIGHT is BRIGHT* enough to ascend you.
