Homeless man with "Vampire Teeth" attacks another homeless man

Attack on a homeless man resulted in injury. Attacker described as having "Vampire Teeth". More cannibalism/zombie-like activity or just California wierdness?

Playful bagging on CA aside, are these increasingly bizarre activities signs of a civilization in collapse?
Or just of a sensationalist media looking for webhits/advertising revenue?

Nothing odd. The only reason that this has even reached the Media and people scream "Zombie" is because the attacker had vampiric teeth. If he hadn't, nothing would been heard of it.
Why wouldn't someone that happens to have with pointy teeth be able to get pissed for whatever reason?

When I was a kid, one of the neighbourhood "special" people had vampire fangs. Until he bit a kid at the wading pool, and then the agency he stayed with had them filed down. Long pointed canines.

There are a couple of recessive disorders that cause this. I know a family with one of them, and it is accompanied with a type of alopecia. The hair is thin and scraggly, and the teeth are pointed.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have said there's no threat of a "zombie apocalypse," but Miami police might disagree.

A homeless man who was busted hassling customers in a Boston Market in North Miami Beach on Saturday told police he wanted to "eat" them and tried to bite an officer, cops said.

After cops yanked him from the chicken joint and put him in a police cruiser, Brandon De Leon, 21, slammed his head against the plexiglass divider and shouted at officers, "I'm going to eat you," NBC Miami reported.

Finally, we go to the Sassy Beauty Supply Shop in New Haven, Connecticut, which was the scene of an attempted theft. A 38 year old woman attempted to steal a wig from the store. When confronted, she bit the store owners bicep, ripped out a chunk of flesh and spit it back in his face.

So far, the standard seems to be to blame these on drug induced behavior (though some cases point more towards existing mental health issues...). So, are these acts occurring more frequently, or just getting more press? Or, is Miami the start of a Zombie Apocalypse? Funny thing though, in movies, it always starts out this way too (the first reports being attributed to drugs, etc.), before the hordes start.

While I have no fears of a virus reanimating the dead...a virus that makes people behave in such a way isn't too far-fetched. Indeed, rabies is already a really close candidate, so isn't too hard to conceive of something similar being out there.

Personally, I think it's more of a press bandwagon thing...but time will tell.

Yes, so we are seeing 'weirder' than usual police reports and crimes.
But isn't it possible that the power of suggestion has taken over the power of reason?

Two people get in a fight, both have been watching Way too much Walking Dead and True Blood.
They fight and one person has in the back of their head that forget this bleep and takes a big bite out of a person's face.
In another case, a person happens to have pointy teeth (which btw where is the booking pic?) now we have a case of vampire attack.

Perhaps if the media let it go, we would actually see less of the crimes in question after the sensation passed and everything went back to whatever normal existed before this wave of biting people.

Not really, media is just putting out what the audience wants.. you think a homeless on homeless(yes where biting is very common) doesn't happen on daily basis..

currently reading anything about people eating people or people biting others are famous and media GOES OUT LOOKING for these stories. Normally these stores are bypassed because at that time the interest was on something else.. idk KONY2012 or something like that.

I don't think it really helps much that you can get 'fangs' implanted at the dentist now
