Something else that is also odd. A family member of mine has been on a medication for 4 years now and we have never had any trouble getting it. Recently we went to get a refill and were informed that the "rules" regarding this medication had changed because the FDA had "reclassified" it as a specialty medication. Because of this classification the insurance wouldn't pay unless a new doctor validated the prescription and so on, and then we had to order it through some sort of mail-order pharmacy.

This medication is almost 70 years old. It has been widely used and is widely understood. Why this critical medication is classified as "specialty" as of this year is beyond me. I am sure it is more shinnanigans.

Interesting that you cite the NY Times but first quote Newsmax. Anyways, I didn't bother to read whatever drivel Newsmax has published but I did read the NYT and it seems odd that any of Obama's political opponents should find a problem here. In alliance with the Republicans, the drug companies fought against Obamacare, so he had to make compromises,one of those was to keep drug prices at the high levels that Republican financial supporters in the drug industry prefer. So the deal was good for the GOP, granted it was bad for the American people, but not because Obama wanted it to be.

Isn't this the same old story. We (Americans) want everything to be cheap (eg. ship jobs over-seas and charge less for the product) but want our pay/employment to be high (eg. keep jobs here and charge more for the product). Personally...I say keep ALL the jobs here. I have no problem paying $10 for a gallon of gas if I'm being paid $50 and hour.

However...on the topic...Obama is a liar, but so are all the other politicians. Is anyone really surprised at all by this? They should all be fired...starting at the top. I'd rather deal with an idiot over a liar any day.

President Obama is using his position as president to Make money from the citizens.

The people Dont benefit in the long run.

I see no hope for the US any more. I'm sorry. Ron Paul was hope! Obama isn't as shiny, but he's still hope! Because now he knows the stakes and how the system really works with BIG BUSINESS involved first hand.

If war mongering GOP Mitt Romney gets elected, there will be war...WWIII possibly...starting with Iran. All for the sake of more money for the greedy. Who suffers, the poor US people and the whole world!!

Only a few people have said it. The vast majority is just going on about Obama. They should be upset at the power that a corporation has within the US gov. That is the root of the problem, Obama isn't. Presidents come and go, mega corporations are nearly eternal.
