Man Cured of AIDS: "I Feel Good"

news.yahoo.com

"My case is the proof in concept that HIV can be cured,"
(visit the link for the full news article)

THIS DOES NOT MEAN ITS SAFE TO JUST GO AND HAVE UNPROTECTED SEX AS THERE ARE OBVIOUSLY MANY MORE UNCURED DISEASES OUT THERE.

USE PROTECTION.

Magic Johnson.

Money can cure any disease.

This is great news!

Hey everybody, we can all have sex again freely without worrying about it!

But seriously, good news!

Wonder how much this costs?

I laughed as I opened the thread, expecting to be trolled. Somehow my brain doesn't want to process the words "AIDS" and "Cured" in the same sentence without imagining the South Park cure of direct cash injection.

Although if this treatment proves to be 100% effective, a direct cash injection would be cheaper.
Hopefully they can find a way to synthesize a cure without having to sort through thousands of umbilical cords for every patient.

I think Steve Jobs would disagree.

Actually, he could still have it. They need further testing to determine if it's truly gone.

Thanks for posting this, I had missed it and I is quite important.

The fact that he was simultaneously dealing with AIDS and leukemia is amazing to me. What a trooper.

If I recall the odds of contracting the infection from having unprotected sex with an infected person are 1:500.
So I never stopped because it is like playing a lottery the odds of winning are too great against you getting the prize.

I'm joking because a lot of people say that people had more casual sex before AIDS was around.

It's funny, when I was 14 I thought I figured out the cure for aids. It was to induce the aids patient with leukemia therefore balancing out the white blood cell count . . HAHA!

Steve Jobs spent most of his life being pumped full of radiation from his tech toys.
His passion for his work was more important than his cellular health apparently.

Ted Kennedy... I think they just wanted him gone.

Well supposedly HIV is the virus that causes the AIDS syndrome. I read a book back in 2000 titled "Inventing The AIDS Virus" in which the author claims that HIV does not cause AIDS. Of course the scientific community immediately swept this guy and his book under the rug, but I don't recall anyone ever debunking his claims.

Hmmm... I am not sure if I agree with that... at all.

Patrick Swayze....

There are plenty plenty more examples, but to witness this theory right now we need to look know further than Former University of Tennessee Lady Volunteers Basketball Coach Pat Head Summitt.

Diagnosed with Dementia several months ago. She is absolutely loaded, as far as money and overall wealth go. For the past several years she has been making near - or over - $2,000,000 annually, not to mention the previous 30 years she spent as a successful Basketball Coach. Amassing more wins than any other basketball coach, active or retired, mens' or women's basketball.

She obviously has countless wealthy connections, supporters, boosters and friends. It should be quite easy to follow how she progresses with this illness. If there is no deterioration, or severely reduced deterioratio, compared to the average dementia patient, then maybe the theory is right - to some extent.

Would be nice to know that money can fix any disease.....

wait, check that, I don't have any money... so it would suck knowing that if I did I could be cured, and instead have to be tortured with that knowledge and the disease aflicting me

It's actually quite fortunate. Without the leukemia he never would have been cured of AIDS.

The fact that this man had HIV, got AIDS, his HIV was cured and his AIDS disappeared is proof. Consider the claim debunked.
