There are reports from the Middle East that the USS ENTERPRISE is under attack.
No other news of this attack is availlable at this time.

That means thousands of crew with cell phones, texting, tweeting, and posting ability.

USS Enterprise Latest Update: Two of the wives of the Sailors who are aboard the Ship have been waiting for more information from the Navy Wives Support Group in regards to the well being of their husbands aboard the Ship. One Sailor has contacted his wife and he confirmed that there has been one death.

That is what I was thinking, but then again that is also a great reason to make a new attack.

Where is Schuyler? He follows every carrier across the globe and has contacts and family on the ships. If it really is under attack there might not have been time for the crew to send out any FB or Twitter updates, so we'll be waiting for official words only.

The OP is a long-time member, so doubtful this is a hoax, unless of course the OP's friend just misinterpreted something by accident.

All I could find doing a search, was a minor fire has been put out on New air craft carrier USS George H W bush and that was reported yesterday but happened on Wednesday. Will keep looking.
