I know a thing or two, but who made you an expert?

I came across this interesting documentary called "The Problem With Experts". Great example of how people look to self serving know-it-all's for a nice sense of (false) security. It's not too long (45min), and kept me entertained, which is saying something considering my impatience with most things TV.

Check it out, and leave your view if ya want. My favorite is the wine critics. As a long time chef I have dealt with many a 'experts' that are clueless. Enjoy!

I have grown to unequivocally hate the word 'expert' over the years.

Expert this, expert that. Who the hell makes someone an expert.
I have a size 10 that I would like to expertly cram up their ass.

I haven't watched the video but I also have a particular caution of 'experts'. There seem to be a lot of them on the internet and in here - UFO experts being my favourite. How the hell can you be an expert on something that you can't even prove exists. The word 'expert' has become overused and people think that by putting it in their title, it gives them credibility. PAH!
