Any here though the Montreal protest were over ??
well its far from it .. and tonight they show to the world
that they will NOT bow to the government

Very clever from the students doing this now after 4 months of protests
and during the F1 pre shows where thousand of tourists come in Montreal

Its a very good way to make attention to their cause
After the casserol tactik .. now its the naked tactik
the Police doesnt like people getting naked

already 39 arrests today .. they will probably employ that new tactik
during the entire F1 event

Pictures below should be appropriate for ATS viewers

MONTREAL - Downtown Montreal was a carnival Thursday night, as tourists in town for the Grand Prix and Francofolie festival had front row seats for one of Montreal’s most colourful nightly student protests yet as well as a couple of violent clashes with police.

All evening, sports cars revved their engines, police sirens blared, helicopters hovered, riot police marched in formation through crowded streets, semi-nude and nude students paraded, and pot-bangers joined the cacophony, while tourists dined alfresco in sidewalk cafés, taking it all in.

Police arrested at least 39 people, but no injuries were reported. Throughout the evening, police used pepper spray, batons, brute force and sound grenades to disperse the crowds. Things only settled down at about 11 p.m. when a steady rain set in.

They though that the protest will affect tourist revenues ??
now every everyone will want to come to Montreal

especially the europeens

First pic, the cop appears to be confused and not entirely sure what to do with his.... Baton.

So as he grips with with both hands, all he can muster is a goofy look..

priceless..

I'm not to sure if I would want to walk around naked but I definitely admire the shock factor for the tourists, as well as the police, when they saw all these people. Next thing you know the government will pass a law that makes the color red illegal at protests because they can't think of anything else to ban. I still need to view the rest, but thanks for sharing these OP.

Charest will eventualy react at some point .. he have a big Ego

my brother told me the UN was going to intervene soon because of the new law 78
but i think it was a rumor .. didnt find anything about the UN coming to Montreal

If thats the way they need to get attention for serious issues, they don't have my support.

Stupid antics like this just make them look like perverted attention seekers, in my opinion, and takes away from their cause more than gains support.

They already try to protest peacefull for months without violence
then the new martial law came to make illegal any protest of more then 25 people

So lets compile what they tried so far

Peacefull protest (daylight)
Violent Protest (new law passes)
Peacefull protest (with masks)
Peacefulll protest (night)
Caserol protest (noise)
Peacefull protest (naked)

in 4 months of protest .. onky a few days went violent
but so far they have been very peacefull
each and everyone of the protesters watching others not to make troubles
they are very well organised more then OWS protest
and they have all summer and spring to continu until the government talk to them
last time they have slammed the door to any nego ..
so be carefull by saying you dont support them
those protester are doing this for everyone freedom rights on earth
we should all respect their cause .. because it is the right thing to do

I can and do respect their cause, but not the way they chose to do it.

It lacks dignity , and if you honestly think it will bring negotiation that hasn't happened yet you're dreaming, and so are they.

Trust me, they are doing their cause a disservice, and will lose the respect of many who do empathize with their cause.
