Post Finacial System: what next?

If the system breaks down completely, I mean complete anialtion of
the system through a credit defalt swap cascaid which is possible
as the are up to 700trilion in defalt swaps, then what do you do if
you are in one of the three centers of power?
1) give up, wait for the disintergration of you society.
2) nationalise and stabilize internally.
3) go on a millitary expidition, snapping up resource rich part
of the globe which are in termoil.
they are the three options I can think of out of hand. does anyone else
have an oppinion. I know alot of people hear talk about NWO and
one world government, but personally i think their might be an interim stage.
here is my commander an cheif moves.
1) nationalise the national gaurd units. start conscription.
2) call my opposite in russia and china, make sure the've got control of
their nukes.
3) ensure the grid and food supplies.
4) nationalise the trucking and transport companies.
5) put troops on ships to ensure the supply of oil and raw matieral.

"Nationalize" how? If your entire financial system is gone, and your money is worthless, and you don't have a new currency at the ready, or that new currency is still worthless (like the Drachma might be), how do you take over something you can't do any better with than the original owners?

If I were the POTUS, I would ban fiat and any reincarnation of the Fed, institute the Treasury-printed Greenback, and insist on payments in gold for foreign exchanges unless their money is sovereign (non-central bank/fiat) or gold-backed. You wouldn't get a whole lot of takers (besides Germany, Switzerland and China maybe), but the ones you did get would have something with intrinsic value to add to the US instead of trading sound Greenbacks for worthless paper, and it would end currency exchange BS.

I'll move to Yap where there is real money. They have four foot high doughnut shaped stone money that noone can carry off. You have to know someone there to live there.

I would have money backed by labor, nothing but good ol fashioned manual labor.
