Greek 'Golden Dawn' politician attacks on live TV

Greek prosecutors have issued an arrest warrant for the spokesman of the far-right Golden Dawn party after he slapped a left-wing politician in the face on live television. BBC



Ilias Kasidiaris, who was elected to Greece's parliament in last month's elections, was debating with two female politicians on a chat show.

Video footage shows him throwing a glass of water at one of the women.

When the other intervened, he slapped her in the face three times.

Is this an indication of how Greece is descending into political chaos, or are the far right just being violent thugs incapable of using debate to defend themselves?
Well worth reading the comments on the vid from Greeks who seem to have lost all sympathy/respect for their political class. IMHO this is the fertile ground that fascism needs to flourish. Or is it a scare tactic to frighten people about the danger of instability, from which a new order will rise to protect the population. I often thought that Greece is being used as a test case for ushering in a new political system into Europe. Symbolically the birthplace of democracy may also become the gravesite of same.
