Yes, this is where Im suppose to RANT and here it is:
I am so sick and tired of hearing people attack the lazy, the overweight, the smokers, like its any of your business what people do. Now, with this idea of FREE healthcare , its everybodies business. Well if thats the standard now, you are ALL FAIR GAME and your little baby too!

The new brainwashing of the masses is to attack those nasty, undisciplined smokers. I mean really those smokers are costing us all money with their nasty diseases.
Those fatty, fat , fatsos, shoving food in their mouths, wont get off the couch except to get more food out of the fridge. They need a law to control the amount they drink. And by all means, salty, fatty food needs to be outlawed to those slobs.
Since this doesnt possible describe you , you are all on board with discriminating against these useless eaters and smokers. Lets all get our BMI reported to the govt, so we can weed out these fatties. Lets check your urine to see if you have nicotine in there, cant have you smokin. Cup please, Im not a smoker , why should I care?

After all, these people are COSTING ME $$$, I have to pay for THEIR healthcare.

You think anything is FREE in this world? Really? Nothing is free! You are paying for this FREE healthcare with your LIBERTY.

I am so sick and tired of people looking down their noses at what other people decide to do with their life. Just wait, people will look down at you one day.

BTW, what do you think we will do with that FLAWED bundle of joy you spawned? I think the good ole gov already has that figured out. Good ole Joe Biden said we will soon be eating food not grown in soil. I guess they will add alittle green food coloring to all the food grown in mommas belly and place it in front of you holier than thou gimmies and feed you people that want everything for free. Free to load up that plate, yum, yum, and it didnt cost you a thing.

Yes, this rant is directed to Americans that think healthcare is free. It cost more than you could ever imagine.

We don't want to pay for your healthcare when somebody dosent take kindly to your shocking arrogance.

All these problems would be solved if we had a proper education system. But we dont so dont send your children to public school. AKA Government slave programing.

I will be the one to say I agree with you. There comes a point to where we will have to say enough is enough. The un healthy activities like smoking, overeating, alcoholism will cost us millions over what a healthy society would cost. However this is the choice our current administration has made for us and believes is in our best interest. And I agree it is a slippery slope and "could" lead to more drastic things later down the road. We can only hope that the supreme court or a future administration puts back in place the previous health care system that has served those who chose to work for many, many years now.

Oh and I smoked for 15 years and quit a few years ago. I can tell you I am much happier and healthier.

I really don't see it as arrogance. Maybe a not so well written rant. However, I do see where the OP is coming from with the government all of a sudden telling us what we can and cannot eat. What we can and cannot do etc etc.......

Plus, if you really REALLY think the government cares about our health, I highly suggest you do some research on how hypocritical they are when it comes to what is and is not good for us........

Ah my apology, I was doing something else while reading this and thought OP was having a rant on how someone lives thier lives, calling people 'Fattys' something my 10 year sister would do.

I agree OP. Taking away anyone's rights takes away mine eventually. It is easy to decide what is good for someone else, when money is brought in, government health care and spending cuts added, puts on the squeeze, it seems a good idea to make unhealthy things illegal.

Next thing you know we are being told not just what we can put inside our bodies, but what we can and cannot do with them, including who we can and cannot have children with, based on genetic outcomes, etc.

Add in the mechanisms to monitor us all to ensure compliance and you have the real life version of Orwell's "1984".

We are very very close now, and the direction is not away, but toward this kind of life, is this what you want? If not, then you need to increase your compassion and tolerance of those not like yourself.

Yes better watch out for those who walk at a faster pace too they are a higher liability than those that walk slow. I think the gov needs to worry about their own problems before pointing fingers at us.

First they came for the fatties I did not speak out because I was not fat. Then they came for the smoker and I did not speak out because I was not a smoker Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak for me.

I think you're looking at it all wrong. You're complaining that the money/taxes we pay will now go more for helping other citizens of this country? As opposed to helping other countries, or military spending or anything else that, in my opinion, is of less value?

When I think of A COUNTRY, and what a country means and why it exists in the first place -- it is for the protection of all of its people. That means anyone living here should have a basic human right not to worry about existence, survival. We all pay taxes for that reason; to give our country the money to make sure its primary purpose is carried out -- to take care of us. If the country doesn't take care of all of its people, then why does it exist? And why pay taxes to it?

After, and only after the point where every single person is taken care of, should we spend money on anything else.

Having spent half of my life in a European country that made this work, as many of them still do without oppressing their neighbors or watching into their behaviors, I know this will have to be just a shift in the attitudes of the American people. It's a basic right and everyone should just keep living as they already do. I understand that you're saying the government or specific groups may want to interfere and tell people what to do and not to do, but that seems like a whole another issue. You can have free health care without a fascist government or fascist populace -- trust me I've seen it.

On the other hand, the health care that will be implemented is not even close to what the system should really be like. I understand that people will be FORCED to buy insurance... why? People are already taxed, those taxes should be used for free health care. Why pay taxes to your country and then have to buy your own insurance on top of that? Or have your employer have to pay for you?

The question should be, what are our taxes being used for if not for what they should be used for -- free medicine and education?

My real purpose for this rant is that once we get USED to thinking WE have RIGHTS over other peoples health / lifestyle choices, you no longer have any choices.

I dont mind my tax $ going to help medicaid, poor people that cant afford medical insurance.

The point is we are being brainwashed into thinking its my business what you do. I get to judge you, your life choices. Once we are done picking on the easiest - nasty smokers and the sloppy fatties- its on to others.

I know about socialist healthcare in other countries. If that works in that society, GREAT. Most of those countries dont have large military because the good ole USA and American tax money pay for their protection. Wars is where alot of our tax $ goes. But that another rant another day.

But this discriminating/ judging people is new. People really LOOK DOWN at overweight and the smokers. The media is drilling this into our brains. They use the EXCUSE , its my business because I have to pay for your healthcare. This IS A NEW THOUGHT PROCESS.

I have received 3 surveys from BCBS, each one asked about something like -Do you think its right that people CHOOSE unhealthy lifestyle choices and it ends up costing you more in healthcare cost. I MEAN WTF? They are getting us divided on our life style choices. Wanting me to JUDGE my neighbor. I dont want to judge other people. I just want to live my life the best I can.

I'm just saying other choices, such as sports, race car drivers, recreational fun things to do and such will be up for JUDGING NEXT especially since someone else is paying for it.

The scariest part is the technology in gene picking. Flawed babies will not be tolerated. I know this hasnt happened yet, but we just got this technology add that to our NEW WAY OF THINKING and anything is possible.

People that eat organic look down at people who dont. Use to, people didnt care what you ate, drank, smoked or if your children had health issues. Read the news, it is a new thought process being shoved down our throat.

I agree with you and I don't like to see people becoming more judgmental and everyone peering into each others' lives more and more... but what can we really expect in a society where people freely want to update others on the ins and out of their lives every 3 minutes?

We're creating an atmosphere where we tell others its OK for them intrude into our lives because everyone already does it on a daily basis.
