7 Broken Promises:

1. Make Government Open and Transparent
2. Make it “Impossible” for Congressmen to slip in Pork Barrel Projects
3. Meetings where laws are written will be more open to the public (Republicans shut out)
4. No more secrecy
5. Public will have 5 days to look at a Bill
6. You’ll know what’s in it (No one knew what was in it because no one was allowed time to read the bill before voting)I think this was in reference to obamacare
7. We will put every pork barrel project online

Well, let’s see … With this that’s 1,268 times OBAMA has LIED since he started his campaign. That’s a lot even for the ANTI-CHRIST! —Al

"we have to pass the bill so you can see whats in it"

Did Obama say that??? And is that a lie???

I'd be interested to hear more of these "lies" that you attribute to Obama.

to say I attributed that to obama ( as your quote box shows I didn't) is a lie

man, you never stop do you?
edit on 7-6-2012 by Danbones because: (no reason given)

Really??? Because I never saw you mention Nancy Pelosi's name before you plastered a quote from her...but you did talk about Obama lying.

Let me refresh your memory.

How about you show me where Obama hasn't lied?

"we have to pass the bill so you can see whats in it".....

Yeah...kind of looks like you are attributing that to Obama.

If you aren't...then please learn how to write down your thoughts in a more clear manner.

(please see the above post to this one.....^)

I never did
and your intentional assumption makes an assumption out of you
what? your teleprompter broke down?

you sure stretch things like obama does though I'll give you that....

Back to the question at hand. Did he lie when he said he was not a member of a socialist party? Is there evidence to back this up? Sure looks like it. People can debate his policy all day long. To me, he is just another politician that will lie to get what he wants. Just like the REST of them. Memo to his followers; he is no better than the ones before him. If you blindly follow his policy, you condone lying politicians.

It really would not matter one iota if I didn't. What matters is that Obama is not
proud enough of his ideals to be honest. In other words, he lied about being a member.

Do you know what the New Party was trying to do?

The attempted a "fusion" party idea...meaning that people could run as the candidate for multiple parties. Obama was never a "member"...but he did ask for an endorsement.

Spin it all you want...only people with a deep illogical hatred for Obama on a personal level will care.

The only person that is in the "center" is Ron Paul. And he is there from the start. He didn't just "land" there.

I have never heard a Ron Paul supporter claim he is in the Center

I don't think you are going to get much agreement on that one.

You won't find it...because that wasn't his position.

Enough Said.. Again.. You do not listen, you do not know what your talking about and your just hoping the rest of us are stupid. Go ahead and believe the lies and keep rooting for your "team".

Again, skirting the issue that Obama is not proud enough of his membership in the
Socialist New Party to admit it. Why did he try and hide it???

Answer that question if you will.

Really....a random blog as a source???

And you do realize your 7 lies reduce down to 1 point...transparency. And it is a matter of perspective. In my opinion...Obama tried...Republicans sabotaged it.

Did you watch the open meetings on the Health Care bill on CSPAN??? The Republicans turned it into a reality show instead of actually trying to work towards a solution.

If you want to look at Obama's record on keeping his campaign promises...go here.

www.politifact.com...

36% full kept.

47% fully or compromised

73% fully kept, compromised, or currently in the works.

That's a damn good record...but continue on with you mis-information that he has "lied" about everything.

And you should check the definition of what a "lie" is...a lie is not attempting to do something and not being able to...just a hint.

I apologies for my meaning of "center". I am not all about the "left" or "right" facade. Maybe I was wrong in words. Or maybe I completely miss understand. I mean, heck, I am only your average voting American. And to me, from what I have gathered from around me. Ron Paul may have to run as an Independent right? So if the "left" won't have him, and the "right" won't have him. Where does that leave him? I think in the middle right? Or in my opinion, WAAAY closer than Obama.

I love all the recycled Obama stories though...it's cute.

Tell them again and again and again. This time though... a bunch more people are listening and watching. And, awaiting the chance to Pay Obama back for this lies and failures.

I am sure people such as yourself-Obama supporter would love for these things to go away... but they won't because it is Truth-which will override.

They really can't Pay Obama back for his successes... he doesn't have any... Well ObamaCare....

Him being proud of bills being passed with no earmarks is not proof that he claimed he would never pass a bill with an earmark.

It seems like you are drowning in your own mis-information...it would be easier for you to just call it quits.

Your own article never even claims he was a member...just asked for an endorsement.

It would have been a lie to say he was a member...because he wasn't.

Basic logic seems to escape people with irrational hate.

The capitalism argument is great. Trying to claim that capitalism is the reason this country is in trouble is a joke. Capitalism is what made this country great. We became a world power based on it and then came the Democratic party with all of its entitlement programs and bail outs and we have weakened our country to the point that other countries are making better products and selling them to us and our own people are buying them over an American made product. Case in point are the auto manufacturers. If we made a superior product at a competitive rate we would not need bail outs. Ford did not take the money. What did they do, They went out and built better cars, lowered some prices here and there and tried to appeal to the market with good cars at competitive prices. What did Chevy do? Not much, Built a overpriced comaro and a electric car with problems. Would they have survived that way without bail out money? No. What about Chrysler? Their numbers still are not very good but we bailed them out. I know that the asian companies can sell cars cheaper because their labor is cheaper. But whose fault is that? Again we get back to the Democrats and their constant support of Labor Unions. If we didnt have labor unions jacking up wages and making these factories more inefficient than they need to be and too expensive to keep in the US we would have more jobs here and we could produce these cars with higher quality for a lower cost to the consumer. Capitalism made us great and the Democrats have helped push us away from it and made a very dependent hand out driven society and for some reason they would rather sit back and blame the Republicans and wall street when it has nothing at all to do with that.

There are many third parties...it doesn't make them automatically in the center.

Ron Paul is actually further right than the Republican party...which is why they don't like him.

If Obama is so proud of his ideals, why does he lie about them?

How many lies will be uncovered before people wake up!?

When the story of Obama's association with the New Party first broke in 2008,
Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt claimed that Obama had never been a member.www.breitbart.com...

He has to lie, none of this is surprising some of us knew, but no one would listen.

They were to busy playing the race card,

You wont even believe it right out of his mouth? I am not wasting my time with you dude. You wont believe it if he showed up at your door and said it to your face. He lies and I could find you sources all over the internet to tell you one thing and then the other and back and forth. Go vote for him again and then next term if he is re elected and you get laid off because he trashes things worse you will have more time to sit and argue with people on the internet. It is obvious you are never going to believe anything more than what you do now and when confronted with the truth you ignore it. We have been through this before and you refuse to listen to reason and logic. If there were a way to block all of your posts from my view I would. They are useless space.

And we can get into semantics all day long and get no where. You can take what he says however you want but I think the voting public took this as a promise.

No, I don't want these stories to go away...I said I love them...I meant it.

The more the Right focuses on things like this...the more it looks like they can't beat him on his record...so they have to go the route of just trying to smear him.

I've already illustrated the problem with these smear attempts....the Right has other attacks out there that directly contradict them...and it's hilarious.

As for military benefits, they are indeed nice. I also think they are well-deserved considering the risks and hardships involved in military life.

Dare I say that you feel ENTITLED to your military benefits???

It appears you only hate socialism that you don't benefit from....that is a bit hypocritical.

Again with the tired old pitch that military benefits are some kind of Socialist Ideal.

Sorry, massive failure ahead for you.
Those RETIREMENT benefits are benefits from being in the military for 20 + years. Not for sitting on one's butt doing nothing.

A good, stirring debate! Nice to find these days, but no need to get angry at one another over it.

Trent Reznor said it best... "We're in this together now."
We need the left to keep us focused on issues at home.
We need the right to make sure we don't overspend.

We also desperately need a third party to stop this "he said/she said" circular argument. All we do is gripe at the other side instead of sitting down, listening, and finding the best way forward for the majority of people.

I'm no fan of Obama, just as I was no fan of his predecessor, but this constant stalement in congress and online and in the halls of local government are getting us nowhere but broke, and fast.

cas sundstien's plan was to infiltrate the internet boards to make sure any troothful discussions get obfuscated or derailed

Im begining to believe that it is in full swing

wouldn't it be cheeper and more effective to not have to run expensive scams like that and just get an honest politician in like Ron Paul...?

then the guv could afford things like proper healthcare for the peeps and to keep its obligations to care for the troops and vets up
