ATS EURO 2012 Fantasy Football Tournament.

So in this thread it was decided to set up a fantasy league for the European Championships.

You have to register first. Then pick your team and save it ( To pick a captain, click the icon at the bottom left of the players shirt).

Players will score points for all Euro 2012 matches (including extra time). Penalty shoot-outs do not count for scoring purposes.

All Players

Starting XI +2 points
Substitute appearance +1 point
Goal scored +5 points
Goal assist +3 points
Man of the match +5 points (as nominated by Skysports.com)
Yellow card -1 point
Red card -3 points (includes -1 for yellow card)
Missed penalty -3 (excluding penalty shootouts)


Goalkeepers & Defenders Only

Clean sheet +5 points
Goal against -1 point


Goalkeepers Only

Save or missed penalty +3 points (excluding penalty shootouts)


Nominated Captain

Double points – positive or negative

Making Transfers

Unlimited team changes up to the kick-off of the match on June 8th
Make up to 15 transfers during the Groups Stages of the Euro 2012
Following the completion of Group Stage matches, make unlimited transfers before the first kick off of the Knockout Stages on Thursday 21 June.
Make 10 transfers during the Knockout Stages of the Euro 2012 tournament
Players transferred in will score points from the next scheduled kick off.

Captain Changes

Managers can make one captain change per game day. Captain changes will become effective from the next kick off.
Top Tip: On the opening day of the tournament can use your daily captain change between games to have a captain scoring in both Poland vs Greece and Russia vs Czech Republic
Top Tip: If you transfer out your captain the incoming player will take over captaincy and this will not use up your daily captain change - use your transfers and captain changes wisely between kick-offs in the group stage matches to score more points

I don't know, your up against some serious geeks when it comes to things like this.

nef's the only one gone public with his selection so far - looks as if he's gambling on some heavyweights up front and in midfield - should get him lot's of goals etc - but will his defence cost him points?
Certainly bold and positive.

Think I'll go public tomorrow before kick off - not too confident this time - but only time will tell.

Hopefully we'll get a couple more entries before it starts.

Well, probably the best opening game of any tournament I've watched.
If the rest of the Championship is the same it could be an absolute cracker, certainly hope so.

Only player I had playing supplied the cross so hoping I get an assist for that.
Got a few playing in tonights match.

Hopefully this racism issue is a one-off and we can concentrate on the football and maybe even defy the odds and expectations and cheer England on to some sort of decent performance.

Really was a cracking game mate... ref ruined it a little but for pure talking points and action, can't complain at all.

But seriously.. Poland could have won the game and killed it off in that first half, but the Stoic Greeks are not to be dismissed.

See you got off to a flying start mate....was wanting to save my transfers till the later stages when teams are having to go for it but can't afford to let you get too far ahead.
Minus bloody 2 for my second team, damned Czechs.

Still, I'm reasonably pleased with my betting slip with Russia at 25/1 which I tipped quite some time ago, just wish I hadn't been so greedy and had placed it each way instead of straight win.

Just had a cull of Czech's from my team. Can't believe blup is on 14 points already.

Only had the one player that played in yesterdays games so only collected a huge sum of one point on both of my teams.

I have loads of players playing today though, fingers crossed!

The Czechs were woeful.... I mean Russia played well but Czechs were crap too.
