(Reuters) - The United States accused Syria on Wednesday of cynically using its crackdown on an uprising at home to justify its stonewalling of a United Nations watchdog investigation into the Arab state's nuclear activities.

The U.N. nuclear chief said earlier this year that Syria had asked for understanding of its "delicate situation" in response to requests for Syrian cooperation with an International Atomic Energy Agency inquiry into suspected illicit nuclear work.

U.S. say Syria cynically stonewalls U.N. nuclear probe

I don't even know what to say about this. This is a very bad attempt at fabricating a "reason" to go into Syria by TPTB. First Syria, then Iran. It looks like it is all coming to a head. Sooner than I thought it would. I thought we would have another couple of years, but it looks like it will be happening soon.

''Wars and rumors of wars...''

The pace at which this is developing is quite staggering.

Syria, Iran - both in the firing line. British special forces already on the ground in Syria, will fight for the rebels when civil war breaks out - expected to occur this coming weekend. Then the USA will get involved. And then they move on with their plans, and head over the horizon into Iran.

How will Russia respond? And are China really as docile as TPTB seem to think they are?

Here we go again with eh nuclear probe...both Syria and Iran in the spotlight. Just as general Wesley Clark predicted when he admitted that 7 Muslim countries were to be taken out. All on the Zionist schedule...

Yep, can't have those Syrians or Iranians posessing nuclear technology. So what if the NNP Treaty they signed ALLOWS them to develop the technology for peaceful purposes. Let them prove they are not pursueing a nuclear bomb capability. Let them prove a "negative" even though that's impossible. Let them figure out a way to do it. Israel, on the other hand is well known to have nuclear weapons and REFUSES to sign the treaty. When asked to allow inspections the question was met with a resounding "NO". This begs the question: Why is the world community ignoring Israels CERTAIN development of a nuclear weapons capability and pursueing action against Syria and Iran? Seems like there should be the same rules and penalties for every country.
