Valhall banned again, why?

Topic started on 3-10-2004 @ 02:56 PM by browha

Just wondering, I thought Valhall was quite a key part of our community

Probably an auto-ban as somebody tried to brute-force her account. If you ever plan to set up a forum, set up tight security as well. Too many cyber-kids around who try to brute-force accounts from members to admins.

So no need to worry.

Well, I AM a bit worried. This is the second time a brute force appears to have been attempted on her account.
She hasn't posted since 9/30 and I sure would like to see her around here.

Valhall's current mood is "Gone." This would indicate that she had an idea of what was going on before she left.

This is sad news to ATS,
its a very sad day to see a member like Valhall leave us. A exceptional member to us all

maybe she got detained by the government for questioning and the government tried to brute force her account or told the website to ban her so that they wouldnt think the government did it

Val isn't banned.

She's taking a break for a while.

I hope it's a short one though considering the work she has put in over the last year I think she deserves it.

What will happen if Mt St Helens blows? Who will inform us?

Thanks for the link Grady, I am also concern about her and I hope is all just a misunderstanding and that she is well and away for just a while.

Sometimes we all have some personal issues that need full attention I hope that she will be back soon.

We have a lot of new mods and I know they all great but its not going to be the same.

I believe this falls into the "reports of Valhalls demise have been greatly exaggerated" category.

Well that's great news knowing she's not banned. I would have never thought that she'd break policy in such a way! I'm quite new here, but I see postings all over the place.

Thanks John bull 1 for clarifying her status!
