Look, I don't want to make fun of this dude... well, not to much but come on. Look at how our country has become so polarized and hateful.

The problem is that this guy and others actually believed the B.S. the Union supported and Democratic back ads attacks and P.R B.S.

I swear the Dems/Left/Socialist/Communist types (The Obama Fans etc) are mentally incapable of serious and sustained discussion without Lying and Crying.

That is where the Repubs need to work on. How to get past the mental issues the Left has.

In my opinion, thank God there is the Dem Party (as well as socialist, communist etc etc etc) parties so these type don't come to the Republican side.....

Actually it was democracy in action.
THE PEOPLE voted Walker in. THE PEOPLE again voted walker in.
The theatrics and the dirty deeds of the far left .. the union bullying .. all did not work.
Democracy worked. I feel sorry for this anti-Walker protester.

It's nev er "democracy": unless Democrats win. This is how they think. They pulled the same crap TWICE when Bush won. These people are like children in the way they deal with defeat. Not only do they think "reality has a liberal bias", but they also believe rightness can only come from their vote. It's straight up narcissism.

You do know that if it wasn't for unions there never would have been a middle class in this country. And look at what has happened since the GOP started the war on unions the middle class keeps getting smaller and the income gap keeps getting wider.

It seems to me that politics (on both sides) has become the new religion for many. People are now looking to these politicians as Saviors and Devils. My gosh, if the Republicans win, women will die! If Democrats win, our guns will be taken and our churches will be outlawed! During the Bush II convention and the Obama convention, I saw images of people crying as if the Lord himself was speaking.

I'm not sure when this political zealotism started, but it needs to end before it destroys this nation. Perhaps ending the 24hr news cycle would curb this hatred?

One cried about it and another slapped Barrett!

Mayor Tom Barrett's concession speech, following his loss to Republican Governor Scott Walker, did not make one local Wisconsin woman happy with the Milwaukee Democrat. According to WISN 12 News, a woman "slapped" Mayor Barrett for conceding the Gubernatorial recall race too early:

12 News' Terry Sater just spoke to the mayor about the 'slap.' Barrett said the woman asked if she could slap him for conceding. He said he'd rather she hug him. So he leaned down.. and got the slap. www.washingtontimes.com

I couldn't agree more, too many people view politicians as a Messiah figure now either as in "What they will do for me" or "How they will fix things to make my life better".

Worse still, those that enter "public service" get to be less and less the sort that *should* enter public service because of the expectations on them and the 24 hour news cycle you mentioned, which puts them under a microscope 24/7.

Spending didn't get the vote. People voted. Those who may even vote Democrat, but lean to the Conservative side, understood what this was all about. This guy is a crybaby. Barrett has failed now 3 times,to win the Governorship. You throw a lame duck, into the mix, expect these type of results. Hes a bad Mayor also. The biggest telling point.Obama visited Minnesota, and Illinois, but failed to show up in Wisconsin, bypassing this State. Even Obama, gave up on him.

The guy interviewed is a goober.

Funny, as he complains that they were supposedly out spent, but I am sure championed the whole Recall Process, where the Unions bused in people from out of state.

The guy is a GOOBER, plain and simple.

Boo hoo.

Yeah, don't blame the current admin, or the people that have been in charge for the past 3 years.

I say blame Bush. It has to be his fault, some way.

The Unions were formed with influence from the first Finns that came to this country. So were groups like the PTA. This initial action was formed to bring up working conditions and a pay that promoted a livable environment. When the second wave of Finns came over in the thirties they blew a good thing all out of proportion and caused the Unions to get too powerful. This gave the Finns a bad name in America.

I see that a livable wage is necessary in society. I also see that the teachers and state workers want high wages in a time where the states economy is not doing good. We have to learn that government workers are public servants and that their wage has to be affordable to the people. Education is important but overeducation is not a necessity. Bring back the jobs that high school graduates can do, make work for everyone.

Another problem is that college is being inferred to be necessary for living. This is far from true when the costs of education are taken into account. Businesses can train their workers and start them at lower rates. This allows the employer to train the workers as they need to be for their job and the young worker can earn enough to get by till his wages increase. College says these graduates are ready for the workforce and deserve better pay but in reality they still need training and experience before they deserve this pay.

I'm sure there are a lot of people out there who disagree. I have trained a lot of people in my life to do things and have been trained by many people to do things myself. We learn from each other and that is good. I learned much from my father and other older people than I. I learned from many people who were less intelligent than I am, and found this knowledge to be invaluable in my life. Everyone has something to teach and everyone has something to learn. That's a true trait of Humanity. I learned a lot less in school than I have learned in the real world.

With choices like Walker or Barrett it's no wonder this country is in the toilet. Both these guys have a graveyard full of skeletons in their closets. We need real change in this country, but it sure won't be coming from elephants and donkeys.
I'm just curious, but how can the average American think a big money politician is the answer? It truly amazes me to see what is left of the middle class in this country supporting guys like Romney, and then shun an honest politician like Paul. Sorry to say it but this country is done. You may now go back to watching dancing with the stars because that obviously take precedence over the future of not only our children but the country as well. Game Over.

Good Lord! I have to repeat myself - AGAIN!

The purpose of the unions was to ensure that workers would receive their fair share of corporate profits in the form of remuneration. It had its place and time - back when industry was run by titans and workers had no legal protections. Fast forward 60 years and we see a federal government that has implemented MORE worker protections than ALL of the unions combined. in short, unions are no longer necessary for the purposes with which they were created.

Over the past 30 years, unions have become blackmailers and have elevated workers well beyond what was healthy for the company. One simply needs to look at the over-bloated and under-funded pension programs that have brought many, if not most, of our major unionized corporations to their knees. GM anyone!?

Furthermore, as previously stated, unions were there to ensure that workers received their fair share of profits. Governments do NOT generate profit, they generate revenue in the form of taxes and fees. Ergo, public unions never had any real purpose other than extortion. Now the tax-payers have ELECTED to put an end to this scam. Wisonsin confirms it!

The liberals had better buck up and realize that the gravy train is parking after its final trip! Only hard and HONEST work will elevate someone in society. An effort to create "Fairness" for those less willing to put in the hard work simply creates and even more unfair environment. I am eleated that we are beginning to the REAL change that has been necessary in this country for a very long time. Thank you Governor Walker!

You are correct. We saw democracy work like it is supposed to. However, it is vital to understand that we are a Republic too. We have a Democratic process that allows people to be voted in so that they can represent us in the Republic. Democracy ends and the Republic process starts when the voting is over. I thought that I would put this out there for everyone to wrap their minds around.

Basically, a democracy is a majority rules. A Republic is use to control the majority in a way that ensures that all individuals are not stripped of the God given rights. Take care and God bless you all.

Thank God for enlightened people!

Correct! I once read an analogy that straight democracy was defined as 2 wolves and 1 sheep voting on what to have for dinner - LOL! We, as a Representative Republic, have accounted for this by offering an equal and fair representation of all opinions. Clearly we have heard what the left has had to say and clearly we have rejected it completely.

This is off topic but I think we've made the Office of the Presidency into a Royal Office. How much taxpayer funding goes into the upkeep and staff of the whitehouse? How many servants does the POTUS need to conduct this country's business? Watching video of the Black tie affairs remind me of the excess of the kings and queens of yesteryear.

I think we have unwittingly created a ruling elite that the framers of the Constitution were fighting against.

Well, democracy did in fact die...but that was a long time ago. This election proved only one thing: You can easily buy elections nowadays. Sad tbh!

The "cryer" is sporting a Boston Red Sox baseball cap. Hmmm??? A displaced BoSox fan in Milwaukee Brewer country (maybe he left MASS when Scott Brown took the "Kennedy" seat?) or a bussed in Unionista there to stir the pot (and vote dozens of times)? Is Weepy even a WI resident?

All of this recall cost the state of WI how much? And the reasoning was the Public Sector unions didn't like the outcome of the first election (due to Walker asking PS union member s to contribute to their OWN pension and healthcare costs) ...in a time when over ten percent of the taxpayers are themselves out of work? They (Union leadership) is the one percent...
