There is no such thing as "radical" Islam. In the Quran it actually states that Islam should wage war against all non-believers and that once a land falls to Islam (conquered) it must forever remain Islamic.
This is why the Muslims hate Israel so much, not just because they are jews but because Israel occupies land that was conquered by the Muslims but originally belonged to the Christians...

the land currently occuppied by Israel was originally owned by christians?
link please

you seem to think facts are something you can create
that is why your thread is such an awesome failure

Specific references to "Palestine" date back nearly five hundred years before "the time of Jesus." In the 5th Century BC, Herodotus, the first historian in Western civilization, referenced "Palestine" numerous times in chronicle of the ancient world, The Histories, including the following passage describing "Syrians of Palestine":

"...they live in the coastal parts of Syria; and that region of Syria and all that lies between it and Egypt is called Palestine." (VII.89)
The above translation by Harry Carter is featured in the 1958 Heritage Press edition of Herodotus' famous work. Both older and newer versions corroborate the accuracy of the reference. A. D. Godley's 1920 translation of the crucial line states, "This part of Syria as far as Egypt is all called Palestine", while Robin Waterfield's 1998 updated Oxford translation renders the passage this way: "This part of Syria, all the way to the border with Egypt, is known as Palestine."

Is that for real? Good lord what a mess!

One embraces the dark and suppresses the light, the other embraces the light and represses the dark.

If it wasn't funny, it would be...well, funny
the irony of it...

The land now know as Palestine or Israel was part of the Eastern Roman Empire, which had Christianity as its state religion.

This is a map of the Byzantine Empire (Eastern Roman Empire) in the 6th century before the Islamic invasions.

Christianity had been adopted as the Roman Empire's religion in 313 AD Link

The land now know as Palestine or Israel was Christian for approximatley 320 years before the Arab conquest in 636/637 AD.

There are plenty of Islamic cultures that are far from what you've mentioned but I'm sure you turn a blind eye to them as it doesn't fit your agenda.

Give me an example then.

Don't just say "plenty".

Do some States in the US still have the death penalty? Pretty barbaric that. Have "christian" troops tortured and maimed non-christian captives? Yes.
Religions aren't barbaric or oppressive, WE are but we use religion as the excuse.

Your are correct in the first part, however, do you have any experience with Islamic culture?

I don't believe that the majority of christians or muslims know what the truth really is which is sad because they apparently both have the same god.

Are you asserting that you know what the truth is?

(call me atheist, agnostic, whichever name floats your boat really as it's really important that I'm pigeon-holed in some wayarcasm>)

I laughed because first you try to put a Christian label on me, while my belief is that we can only carry one true label; human.

In a lot of respects, my being non-religious almost makes me believe I'm nearer to the truth than you as I have no pre-conditioned or programmed hatred towards anyone and I'm able to live my live the way I see fit, proper and moralistic.

This point has some merit but your claim that I was preconditioned or programmed to hate anyone is baseless. In fact, what I was taught is the opposite!

PS.

May I ask where your morals have their roots? Since you seem to be peaceful in your intention.

according to kink james (the kink james bible) jesus was gay so whats your point?
and a horse thief

Jesus was a Horse Thief
(lyrics & music by Chris Watson, Copyright ©2007)

You might not know if you believe, but Jesus led a band of thieves.
Look in Luke chapter nineteen, and you will see what I mean.

[verse type B]
He tells his men to take a colt. This was to me quite a jolt.
The Bible says you shouldn't steal. That is of course if it is real.

[verse type A]
The Bible says you shouldn't take what isn't yours, make no mistake,
but Jesus does it anyway. He tells his crooks what they should say:

[verse type B]
“If anyone asks why you're taking this horse, tell them ‘God needs it’ of course.”
Hanging's too good for this guy, so it is time to crucify.

[chorus]
JESUS WAS A HORSE THIEF!
JESUS WAS A HORSE THIEF!
JESUS WAS A HORSE THIEF!
Yeah.

its right here in the bible
you know the bible that says kill all the non believers
you muslim haters should look in the mirror before you point any fingers

This is really getting old. Aisha was six when the Prophet married her, but he waited 3 years to consummate the marriage. If he was a true Paedophile, why would he wait three years? I'd imagine a Paedophile wouldn't be able to. Yes, there is an issue over whether it was the right thing to do and all that other stuff, but we're looking at things from the 21st century. At the time, I'd imagine it was the cultural norm to do such things at puberty/menstruation, and yes it was practiced in Europe and America too. In medieval Europe, there were recorded marriages of 2-3 year olds! In the good old US of A, the age of consent was around 10 with it being only 7 in Delaware. This was only around 130 years ago.

Saying the Prophet was a Paedophile is disgusting. Judgement is based on perspective. I would suggest that you do less judging.

It doesn't just promote hate and insult muslims, it hates and insults christians, and hates and insults jews, with its dishonest premise and supporters, all to promote an agenda of murder and theft, which will cost all of these spurious groups lives and gold and land....and steal their children

I'll start at the beginning.
The cultures which aren't barbaric when compared to the more extreme cultures are the likes of Turkey, the north African countries such as Morocco, Tunisia etc. Far eastern ones like Indonesia etc.

I do have a fair amount of experience with Islamic culture, in the extreme I might add, as I lived in the Eastern Province of Saudi for a number of years. Which at the time was controlled by Shi'ite muslims. I am still alive though and possess all of my original limbs LOL.

I'm definitely not asserting that I know what the truth is, I don't believe any one knows now or indeed ever did. Or in fact whether there IS a truth.

Apologies if you think I was trying to label you, I wasn't. I just don't particularly enjoy being labelled as anything because I don't "believe".

Again, I apologise if you think I was singling you out on the hate front, I certainly wasn't directing this at you as an individual. It was a generalisation towards those who seem predisposed to hate and using their religions as an excuse.

Where do my morals have their roots? Good question. Experience, other people's experiences, common sense, life in general.

I'm not trying to be antagonistic but rather I get annoyed when I see so many people walking around with their blinkers on, refusing to acknowledge that there are other beliefs out there which are equally as viable as theirs. Yet they use everything in their power to discredit them because they think they are right and the others are wrong. That isn't true religion.
If it's any consolation, I've had similar discussions with muslims who think the same about christianity.

Muhammad was 56 when he had sex with his 9 year old wife.

Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 62, Number 64

Narrated 'Aisha: that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death).

According to Islamic doctrine, Muhammad led the perfect life and the Koran demands 91 times that Muslims imitate Mohammed in every way.

Statistical Islam

Why do you think that Saudis put their 9 year old girls in Burqas?

First of all, have you ever heard of Kurdish people?

Morocco? The tourist hotspots?

It was a generalisation towards those who seem predisposed to hate and using their religions as an excuse.

Well then we're not getting anywhere, since I am talking about specific matters. In those Islamic cultures including the one you experienced...how were people treated that wanted to change their religion? How were women treated? Did they have equal opportunities at life? How keen were people on revenge?

If it's any consolation, I've had similar discussions with muslims who think the same about christianity.

How do you know how I think? You just waved away all the social issues inside Islamic cultures that you shouldn't deny, and asserted you have similar discussions? Laughable attempt at an argument, dude.

You seem to be missing the point.
