Oh, thank you. You are good, a lot of people need some civic's lessons. I might add that mal-practice insurance and the extra tests doctors have to do add a major expense to medical costs.

Something people don't realize is that if you are treated at a government hospital, your damages are capped at a specific amount -- it used to be $20,000.00, I'm sure it has raised up from that, but even if you have been mistreated by a government doctor, you do not get multi-million dollar damages.

Another hidden fact about Obamacare.

I agree completely with you. There is some hope, I am one of the 36% of union households that voted for Walker - twice.

I have been considering moving to Wisconsin. I would like to retire in about 16 years. We love to fish and we visit Wisconsin offen. I would like to be able to get a part time or maybe full time job as a server. I understand that this employment is seasonal.
My question to the great posters on this thread, who seem to really know the politics in Wisconsin, is " What do you think this will do to small businesses, and with the November elections just around the corner. Should I wait a few years and see where things are going to go.

Sorry guys, I just realized this was a dumb post. I am not trying to derail this thread. I should start a fresh one.

Very good thread.

After all it took 750 million plus to elect their guy in office and has printed over 3 trillion in as many years.

Go Walker the guy who cut spending!!!!!!!!!!

You don't even know what a Banana Republic is -

Go Walker the man who eliminated jobs!

Which jobs did Walker eliminate? Source please. Why do Progressives like to tell people they don't know what communism is, what socialism is, what Marxism is, etc blah blah blah? Is it because somehow deep down they themselves are lacking in understanding that which they seem to be supporting?

It wasn't difficult for Bush to "hide" being that a certain meteoric rise of a certain messianic personality with all the glitz and promotion the media could provide was so busy overtaking the country. I mean really, who could ever outshine that meteor?

I work for the state, Walker didn't elimanate any jobs, no layoffs at all. That's what he was trying not to do. I agree, these progressives, have no idea what the differences are in fascism, communism, socialism, or tryanny is. They really believe they can have free everything, and all you have to do is print money. Groupthink.

The one thing that is stopping small business is the obamacare obstacle, Wait until the supreme court comes down with a decision later this month, and the November elections to hopefully remove Obama. If you're just looking for a seasonal part-time job, there's lots here.

Who were those masked bandits? They seemed to be suggesting that Walker won only due to the money poured in....but seems the Democrats are now using this as a platform to push publicly funded campaigns. How much nuttier can all this get?

Thanks for your response. Someone else also told me that Walker did not do any layoffs. I can relate to this scenario, as my father owned a foundry and refused to lay off workers because he did not want to see any one lose benefits. That was back in the early 80's.

No, I am referring to the fact that Bush ignored the media after

September 15th when the economy fell off the cliff. He physically

Hid away, he did not campaign for

McCain and McCain didn't refer

To him. Especially when the economy lost that first 500,000 jobs.

Indeed, in some instances the cognitive dissonance is rising to truly heroic proportions, even for ATS, where there are some few members talented enough to hold as many as 4 cognitively dissonant thoughts between shaving and the breakfast table!

They yearn for a "true democracy", and when it is delivered them, they suddenly didn't mean THAT kind of democracy - you know, the sort that goes against their decrees... they mean, of course, the sort where the people speak... unless the people don't happen to say what they want said....

Bush was fading into the distance. He knew his term was over and a Democrat Congress was plundering as much as they could get away with. What would you have done in his place?

Wow, you are full of it! You should win an award.

Bush was a proud man and he was ashamed, like

He should have been. What plundering? Do you

Enjoy lying to yourself? Because I am very certain
.
you are not that clueless . The economy fell right off

The cliff and Bush wimped out, he should have stepped

Up, he went to his ranch instead

Well, I have news for you, I have not fallen for the Progressive rhetoric which you seem to have swallowed whole( a whale it seems to have been). I am also not a pushover for the lazy tactics you are employing in the place of genuine debate. Progressives never seem to get tired of this type of display. Interestingly, I was mad enough at Bush to not vote for him in 04, which really shows you up as not having a clue about people you consider your opponents. I also have posted that Bush is a member of Skull and Bones, as every good conspiracy theorist already knows of course.
So for the record, my excusing Bush has nothing to do with a personal like or dislike of him. It is evident from more recent interviews of him that he has not gotten involved in the Presidency of Obama, and I just observed a quick and easy hand off of power to the new POTUS. From my viewpoint, Bush was just finished and ready to MoveOn, pun intended fully.
You seem to be of the "blame bush" crowd that is still idolizing BO for some really odd reason I have yet to understand.

And also for the record, Obama was very much for the tarp baillout.

Bush was a lame-duck president when TARP, (Troubled Assets Relief Program), was created, (Bush's Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson's plan), to fight the crisis in the U.S. financial market. But he supported it, as did Congress, and incoming President Obama. It would be Obama's administration that would take over and administer the government's TARP efforts for the General Motors bailout.

Both administrations knew Congress would not approve the needed legislation in the face of such a public outcry. So essentially, they agreed to just do it anyway. Of course they pointed to this paragraph or that in the TARP mandate, and stretched the meanings to, perhaps, technically authorize their use of TARP for a GM bailout. Several legal challenges were raised, (more on that later), and many legal experts opine that a court test would go against the administration's use of the funds.

Under the direction and control of Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, the Obama administration proceeded with the governmental bail-out plan for GM, (and Chrysler).

gaanderson.hubpages.com...

So, you see, it really was just a matter that the die was cast for the NWO plans and both administrations allowed it.

Bush had a gun to his head.

Any brain dead conservative liberal can see that.

The ultra Left Wing infiltrations from the 2006 elections got 'em.

Yes, the House of Representatives impeached President Bill Clinton but the US Senate

did not remove him from office.

Before the whole - Perjury - showed up Bill Clinton did work with the Republicans

and gave us 4 years worth of - Budget Surpluses -.

The Dot Com bubble also helped out.

Is my history correct?

I have lived in Wisconsin for 2 years, so here's my take on your question:

First, it's definitely not a bad place to live, but the taxes are high. Property especially. I also own 2 small businesses in which I employ a total of 8 people. Again, business taxes are high, but not as high as our certified whackjob neighbor to the south, IL.

My advice if you choose to move here: Stay away from the 2 M cities. Lunacy fills both of them.

Oh and by the way, you won't find better or more choices for fishing anywhere on the planet

I hear there is pretty good fishing near Jackson, Wyoming.

Harrison Ford has a great home nearby.

--------
If you're going to start up a company, i recommend Scottsdale, AZ or

Austin, Texas.
