Dems cry foul early into Election Day; Sen. Taylor demands investigation

It looks like a scam is evolving early in the Wisconsin Recall Elections.

Apparently people are getting phone calls telling that if they signed a recall petition, they need not vote today

I wonder if it worked ?

Did any members here get such a phone call in Wisconsin today ?

GOP leaders are saying it's a Democrat tactic and no such calls exist !!

Interesting tactics.

With only about four hours into the Election Day voting, members of the Milwaukee Democratic Party claim that calls are going out to voters telling them if they'd signed the recall, they didn't need to vote today.

Milwaukee County Dem Chair Sachin Chheda said that Walker supporters can't get through the day without "cheating."

“This latest lowlife sleaze comes on the heels of countless reports from around the state of various Republican dirty tricks on behalf of Walker," Chheda said in a statement. "For instance, reports surfaced last weekend that Walker supporters are paying homeowners to post Walker signs on their lawns."

A state GOP source dismissed the claims, saying it was expected from Dems who have made voter suppression claims part of their playbook.

"That’s just what they do, they’re simply setting the stage for a close election," the source said. "The story doesn't exist until they provide evidence."

here's another one:

Meanwhile, State Sen. Lena Taylor, D-Milwaukee, sent a letter to Government Accountability Board Director Kevin Kennedy asking for an investigation into that alleged call and another that claimed the election was Wednesday.

"It is imperative that your agency uphold the law and criminally prosecute any person that is engaged in voter suppression and disenfranchisement tactics that violate the spirit and plain language of the laws of Wisconsin," Taylor wrote.

That makes a lot of sense the Dems push for a recall and then calls their voters and tell them not to vote. Does the GOP actually think people are stupid enough to believe this?
